@@thephantompenanceI’ve found that most people stop after they realize that pretty much every mission after the first hour (except for a few) are pretty much the same. I am a die hard fan of this franchise and even I had to push myself through it only because of my investment in you know who and what (no spoilers). The game doesn’t feel like it fits into the franchise and I think this Mafia 1 remake and “The Old Country” are love letters and apologies to fans after that game 😂

@@RiotnRespect I have to disagree about Mafia 3 not feeling like it fits into the franchise. Only the gameplay is different in comparison with the others. The whole story and lore fully respects all the mafia line, it's just the opposite of being a mobster in a regular mob. This time you take down a mob and build your own. I think that's even better than before

Mafia 2 has a good story too, but I still think Mafia 1 is the best. Mafia 2 has a solid main character that everybody likes. But Tommy is still the most relatable character in the entire Mafia series because he was originally just a regular guy. The drama that unfolds throughout Tommy’s life that changes him over the years makes his story the most interesting one to me.

Lost Haven Typewriter is a reference to the real life nickname for the Tommy Gun aka the “Chicago Typewriter”. It essentially wrote the papers with bullet holes.

I'd say Tommy's scripted knockout in this mission is a step down from the original, where you could get out of the prison without incident after taking the shot and even escape notice from the police if you had taken out a lookout that shouted at you as you were going in, or just moved fast enough as you were going out. Felt more realistic overall, I'd say.

The game director for Mafia 1 2002 is the same writer and Director for Kingdom come which has really open ended quest design. Kingdom Come 2 looks amazing really looking forward to it. A good quest Director is so important for great design

Can't wait for you to play Mafia 2 (My Favorite) after this... Also if you are planning to play Mafia 3 playtrough too, I recommend you a mod that removes all grindy missions in Mafia 3 it's called "RACKET DAMAGE MISSIONS REMOVAL MOD" in Nexus Mod and makes the game full focused on story and more enjoyable.. and i think story of Mafia 3 is amazing... Also Mafia 3 has so many copyright music in the cutscenes thats why you may not want to play it.. And even if you mute musics i think it may have kill the beauty of the cutscenes because musics is one of the best thing in Mafia 3.
