The best ways to get rain. 1. Dig foundation trenches. 2. lay a concrete slab. 3. Paint exterior walls. And to get torrential rain. 1. Top dress your lawn. 2. Fertilise your lawn. 3. Put out seed. The amount of water you get is directionally proportional the the slope of the land. The greater the slope, the greater the water.

I guess having that heavy rain gives you an idea of where the water will go and if you need to put something in place to reduce the chances of it pooling up.

Looking great!! .. Do you worry about all the surrounding weeds dropping seeds into where you're doing the rye? I had a residential lawn where the neighbor had heaps of crabgrass and it LOVED that newly raked fertilized soil 😆.. But easy to treat I guess! .. Or I hear tenacity is good for seeding projects.

Goodness I cannot believe the washout into the green after you speaking about it Ben. You have the perfect attitude though, laugh it off and crack on Lol. I wish my grass seed germinated as quick here in Bonnie Scotland Lol, What a difference with the other fence down too.

Funny, I have one of those drop spreaders. The LCN recently said he didn't rate them. I was going to throw it away... but now watching you, it may actually come in handy for overseeding (if I ever get around to it). Thanks for the tip!

Really look forward to all your videos. At our summer home in Nebraska (USA) our club will be renovating many greens and re-grassing the entire course to bent fairways and the latest bent variety for the greens. We have the owner of the company that does all the work on Augusta National as members of our club so get the best course constructor there is. I’ve studied the USGA green construction documents and you’ve done a great job.

This happened to me but the seed pooled until it washed under the fence plinth and took a large amount of the seed onto neighbours driveway. Every time I plant seed a storm appears a week later to wash it all out. I now order twice the amount I seed I need because I know whats coming....

Hey great vid. I have a quick question. I planning on seeding my lawn this week. I using canberra blend but I'm struggling to find out what the exact setting to use of my scotts drop spreader. It's the same as yours. I have done a calibration test. I need to put out 2.5 kg per 100sqm. I have come up with setting 15 on the spreader but my question is what was the number that you have been using when you sowed you seed in this vid. I think you were sowing 5kg per 100sqm so it should be higher setting then mine i am hoping. Any help would be great. Cheers keep up the great work bra!!!!
