Five years ago I lost my house, divorced my wife and moved to 🇧🇷 to study Jiu jitsu! I'm currently teaching the Little Freaks at 10th Planet SD. I'm currently studying under Boogie and Geo Martinez😍😍😍. I'm definitely living the dream!!!

I'm a 40 year old blue. Just had another major injury set back. I was going to do the unthinkable and hang up my Gi for good. Watched this video.....now I'm going to come back stronger !

Jason Lazar stay strong dude. I’m 39 so I feel that struggle! Just treat your body with respect and you will have a lot of training still in front of you! I recovered from neck surgery! You can do it!

I've been doing Muay Thai for 6 years and just the past few months started training MMA, trying to pick up wrestling and BJJ. I can't say enough how much I needed that: the psychological shock of something entirely new and that joy and fire to learn. I finally landed my first submission in an MMA sparring session where I used a sweep from underhook on my knees to side control to an Americana. I couldn't remember the last time I felt so happy and grateful to everyone who helped me train. It revived my love for Muay Thai in a way I would have never expected, and a whole new world is there to explore. Thank you, grapplers.

Ill sit through his and then he will sit through mine. Were checking out the 10th planet in Royal Oak MI!

Awesome man. Don’t push him too hard. Just let him play and enjoy himself and build the skill naturally. Train hard, but don’t worry about it he’s “getting good.” Just let him play the art.

I started BJJ 2 weeks ago. I get destroyed every day, but I freaking love it. That’s how you learn and try to get better each and every day. I wish I would’ve started it 10 years ago.

I started bjj 2 1/2 years ago and it’s been life changing! I just came across this and everything said about Brazilian jiu jitsu absolutely resonates with me! I’m a 126 lb, 5’ 2” female and the mental and physical confidence I have gained from bjj is incredible, along with learning an amazing skill. 🤩

The irony here is that I saw Brandon's original video on this several years ago. When I finally made it to the gym last year, met him for the first time, I told him that his video on failure is what brought me there. Everything of value in my life was achieved through failure.

Truth, failure is a motivator if taken the right way. I have only been training for 2 months, but this week was the 1st time I did not tap out due to fear of not breathing. I lost every roll but it was a big win for me.

Been training around 7 months now in Gi. I started going twice a week then 3 times and now 6 days a week. Got my first stripe last week. It's so addictive and I have never been so fit. Best thing I ever done

i'm 215 days in. "thank you" i started @Sleeper Jitsu in Seattle and the C-19 kicked in and i remembered a jits lesson: DONT LET FEAR CONTROL YOUR DESTINY So i started watching your videos and ive done some form of training (even just a mile run/ or line drills or ab crunches) Starting at 54 i was concerned about people giving me odds look on how i would perform on the mat. im not concerned anymore. it may take me months to return to the jits gym and my professor, but for now i watch u + 10th and drill. even if it takes me 10,000 hours until i can return to earn my BLUE but until then i fail, and i fail, and i fail knowing there is no time limit and i can fail as many times as needed to earn my promtion. thank you, for getting an old man on the mat. im coming now. perhaps one day i can thank you in person. maximum respect, jaesen

Four and a half years years in purple is already here, best choice I've done, start practicing this art, i just wanted to start when i was younger but its never to late to star, if you think the world is collapse beneath your feet just go to a jiu-jitsu academy and try it you wont regret it and if you like come on over again and again until you realize that jiu-jitsu is not only a combat sport is a family thing and your problems can be resolve whith the help of the others. About two years ago, at the age of 44, I walked into a BJJ gym for a trial just for the heck of it, and now I look forward to every class and can’t get enough. It’s the best, hardest, most rewarding, most humbling thing I’ve ever done, and I can’t imagine life without it. I hope this video encourages more people to try it. It’s truly life changing.

Loved it! Failure is a great teacher. It regulates illusion, creating inner conflict, preventing stagnation. Losing also stimulates us to take action and reassess our abilities. Just as in life, there can be no progress without conflict. Great video!

I feel that 😆 I have had 5 knee surgeries in my life. Mostly from basketball, but I feel like Jiu Jitsu has actually been really good for my body and my health. You might just wanna find some training partners who are willing to work with your limitations and I bet you'll find that rolling is way more fun!

Richie Hops I’m pretty sure he knows how to achieve his goals though. How you do anything is how you do everything. Will smith speaks of hard work and determination. Every word he said in this video can be used to help you achieve your JiuJitsu goals. Thanks for the engagement though 👍🏼

Richie Hops But Smith knows about dedication, discipline, drive, determination, self belief exc. Because he's sucessful in life. All sucessful people have those things in common. They obviously know and have what it takes to be sucessful.

Great sport ! But will engrave a bad habit when it comes to self defense . Especially on the street . Stop promoting for it as a self defense art . The last thing u want to do in a street fight is be on the ground and have ur brain thinking submissions instead of k.O . Practice ur jiu jitsu in the street and the possibility of seeing u in the hospital is a lot higher my friend
