I am 12 as of now and have been taking Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for a little while and have now gotten two stripes on a white belt and am working in the third stripe, it’s been s great last little while and I’m no where near others but to me it’s an art in a way, I love the movements and skills that are learned. This helped continue to motivate me! Thank you and I’m glad you are into it as well, I take it in Triad which is on Winchester! 10th planet is awesome.

Keep up the great work, Evan! Hopefully we will be able to train together someday! You can come by anytime.

It's a couple of years later, you are still correct. BJJ causes your soul and body to align in a truly magnificent way. This video didn't cause me to pick BJJ up (never seen it before, obviously), but the reasoning behind it absolutely did. Thanks for being right, as usual, professor.

A wonderful wifey you have there Brandon. Her decision also resulted in the positive ripple effects that have extended far out and beyond the space that you both inhabit. Countless people have benefited from her advice to you - your respect and love for her - and what you have both built since. Respect, kudos and love to you both. - J

In my opinion is a great martial art and probably the best for self defense the only bad thing is that it can be a little hard on the knees and that’s base on my personal experience. I had been practice this martial art very consistent for 3 years now and I love it.

Where did you first start doing 10P at? LA with Eddie? What is your Jiu Jitsu story, like who you first started training under and where and all the people along the way that helped your reach your black belt. That would make a great video.

I try to roll as much as I can, but the nearest gym to me is 350km. It would be 8 hours of driving for a 60 minute class :(. I really hope one day we can have a gym here. I would love to be belted up enough where I can start teaching classes.

Nice video! I'm thinking about quitting boxing and starting BJJ. Mostly because my outlook on life has changed over the past few years. You see, boxing is a very ego-motivated sport and to be good at it, you almost have to be a bit delusional about yourself so that you are willing to trade blows to the head in the first place. I got tired of this and feel like BJJ is a more 'rational' and steady sport where there's more respect towards your opponent AND your own while still being very effective. Am I correct in this assessment or is there something I'm missing here? Thanks in advance bud. PEACE
@brandonmcninja5 жыл бұрын
I think Jiu Jitsu can probably feel that way because the lack of striking element just makes the consequences so much less serious right away. So you can give your opponent a little more ground to work with and play and learn. I think that’s part of why people get so into it. They like the deep water.
@T245965 жыл бұрын
@@brandonmcninja Haha yeah sounds pretty cool, especially if you can roll with new guys without getting your face busted open, unlike in boxing where you basically have to do a background check on every sparring partner to make sure that he's not gonna go crazy on your ass.

@brandonmcninja3 жыл бұрын
As much as you can! I try to do a minimum of 5 days a week. But if you’re a beginner, it may be good to just start with 2 or 3 so you don’t get burned out
