After around 8 months, the 'sympathetic restoration' of my Ferrari 360 is now complete! The final stage was repainting the car and getting some paint protection film applied.

For all those asking, we waited about a month between paint and starting the detail/PPF process. Kudos and NVN are pros and both advised best practices for this whole process

Since you were going to get it PPF'd after the new paint job, you probably should have instructed Kudos not to put back any of the badges, since they were going to be removed anyway.

@@HammerRocks wrappers remove and put back badges every day it’s a very simple process so I’d rather have the badges on for the month, at least I’d know where to find them haha

Might look similar on camera but a keen eye will notice all of the swirls, orange peel, small dents and small rust spots are all gone. As a car detailing nerd this makes me so happy, love it!

The best buy of the recent Ferrari models. All aluminium, sturdy engine and gearbox with loads of torque, no odd shapes to get snagged on kerbs etc. airbags, traction control etc. Plenty of grip in the wet, unlike a 348 and 355, I even drove mine in the snow with complete control. The best part is the Challenge rear grille, so you can actually see through it when reversing. These will increase in cost as they are remarkably good value as of April 2022.

Great video! I went through a very similar process this past winter. My 997 GT3's paint was quite beat up from a lot of track work, so I had it bare-metal complete repainted (same color as original) and then brought to a PPF specialist to have it fully wrapped. They did an awesome job, they took apart a lot of the body work and things like headlights, they edited all the precut templates to expand the edges and wrapped around the edges so that they don't show up externally and don't collect dirt. And the uni black paint job somehow looks even deeper black with the PPF.
