I've seen opinion channels make a sponsored video on a product, and then release a REVIEW that shits on the product they just did a sponsored video on. I would never take a sponsorship if I didn't genuinely like the product. I would never take a sponsorship if I didn't get to say whatever I wanted to about the product, good or bad. There's no reason for me to make 2 videos if I'm genuine in the first place.

I don't think many people know this but you can plug the pads into your PC, map it to your emulator and play the ROMs with an official SEGA pad. And it feels sooo good.

Had only Nintendo systems growing up, and when I started getting into collecting, I wanted to try some of the big SEGA titles so I got a genesis and a bunch of games. Really great library, and the things they did graphically with Castlevania genuinely blew my mind when I played it a few years ago.

I got my mini on release day. i play it everyday. i love all the games they included. I think its a great value for what you get for $80. i had a launch Genesis and eventually got the Sega CD and 32X and had a huge library of games. I remember doing extra chores and things for other people to earn extra money so i could get the latest and greatest games. i loved my original tower of power 👍

You can legally play sega games on your tv by emulating on a pc. Sega sells their roms legally on steam. More people need to know about this and support it.

I have the 2018 ATGames Sega Genesis and it has great emulation, a working card slot and also an SD card. With custom firmware, you got GameGear, Master System, Genesis, 32x and Sega CD. It’s a great system! I did order a mini as well.

For your 8BitDo controller, update the firmware and make sure the input mode is correct. Also make sure you're not trying to sync by changing input methods. Check the manual again. I have their adapter and it works great on several devices, sorry to hear your experience wasn't so smooth. EDIT: As for the emulation, I'm something of a purist in spirit because the YM2612 is probably my favorite retro sound chip, because it's just an FM synthesizer, which is fantastic and fun to play with and can make so many cool and interesting sounds. A lot of dubsteppy sounds you heard in 2010-2014 could be made on a Genesis with enough know-how. To see it emulated so well is something I absolutely adore. When the volume, pitch, timing, etc. of a sound in FM synthesis is off even a little, the whole sound can change dramatically. This is because FM (frequency modulation) needs at least two sound waves. A carrier and a modulator. One will move up and down in pitch, but in the shape of the other's wave, so a sine wave will have smooth transitions across the spectrum and produce more metallic sounds, whereas square waves go directly back and forth between two frequencies, and has NO in between whatsoever. The tiniest change in the wave, time it's played, how loud it's played, what pitch is chosen, and how the chip handles those sounds, can completely ruin a classic sound. I'm so happy they nailed it.

Games I would highly recommend : - Beyond Oasis - Soleil - Ristar (thanks saves states) - NHL95 (if you're into sports) - Puyo puyo 1 & 2 (and NOT robotnik beam machine since you miss the anime sounds) - The MK series - Aladin & Lion King - S3&K - Road rash (pretty memorable soundtrak)

So I never had a sega genesis as a kid, my older brother did so I could only play it when he let me. I grew up with an SNES so I have the mini of that which was phenomenal and followed it up by pre ordering this one as soon as I heard about it. It is so different, sega is so bizarre in the best possible way. I love how every game is so different in its own way, it makes me nostalgic of how original things used to be before we all became so cookie cutter. I’m working on bloodlines, comix zone, and streets of rage 2 at the moment. I won’t play all of these games because some are too weird for me but there are so many I’m looking forward to getting into. Love the channel, love the video, woof woof wulff den.

The Genesis was my first gaming System. The mini is excellent. Many games I’m used to and that’s new to me controllers that are the exact right size. (The Famicom Nintendo was cheaper okay).. so far the best mini system dispute what detractors say.

Just got one, modded it with Project Lunar and have all the Megadrive games I wanted (which still leaves me 100 MB of free space) plus bubble bobble from mastersystem and the genesis port of SMB1 (note the Genesis Plus GX emulator does handle most downloaded roms and scaling better than the default M2). My son is also enjoying it a whole lot. These classic consoles and their games are way more suited for younger players as compared to modern consoles. Simple controls and just a lot of fun in a little box. Optionally I could also run other console emulators and add a USB drive full of games, but I do think I'm only going that route if I can get near equivalents of USB controllers of other consoles.. I do have to say the sound coming from the original Mega Drive is much deeper and sounds more full, and I guess that's just hard to get right in an emulation..

Great Video!!! I’m so glad that Sega went with M2 after people got angry that ATGames would be responsible for the emulation and game selection. I love my genesis and Megadrive minis. I did grow up with Sega Sonic 2, Sonic and Knuckles, X-Men And Beavis And Butthead was another one I played. Sonic 3 isn’t on here and neither is Sonic and Knuckles because the music was developed by Michael Jackson so getting permission to use the games that Sega developed wasn’t going to happen with the music in that game. Oh well. Still really fun to play my American and Asian Genesis and Megadrive minis.
