Great review! Exquisite narration, the right portion of humor and beautiful photography. I love the SKX013 as well and also started with the bigger size. My personal trend is also leaning towards smaller watches although I have some big guys in my collection like a Panerai, Breitling or Rolex. The SKX013 just feels perfect on my wrist!

I've got the SKX 013, 007, and 009, and have to say the 013 is my favorite of the three and my favorite dive watch. It looks great, wears great, and has a classic look. Like you I have several high-end pieces in the collection but wear this as much as any and more than most. If I'm at a conference and more dressed up, I'll wear my Datejust or OP, when traveling for work I've been wearing either my Seamaster or more lately a Christopher Ward C63 GMT, but other than that odds are high the 013 will be on my wrist. I did buy one of the Islander Bracelets for it, and even though the jangly original is cool, the Islander elevates the watch. Great video!

My father had the pepsi bezel version (SKX015) since the late 90s but ditched it inside a toolbox for quite a long time. He handed it to me back in 2019 so I had it serviced, replaced the faded original bezel insert to a black aftermarket insert (similar to the 013), and fitted a solid link jubilee bracelet. It's quite small for someone with 7.5-8in wrist but still looks good because of the classic design.

Your presentation is very good. The intellect and sincerity of your personality is reflected in your voice. Awesome selection of background music. What is it ?? I would love to buy it. Seiko skx 013 is so masculine and edgy in design but there is warmth, clarity and dependability in performance. It has a comfortable weight on the wrist . not too heavy not too light. For someone like me who has a 6 inch wrist very few watches have a masculine feel in 38mm. Worth every penny. Love your channel . thank you and take care man.

I’m looking for one and the prices for used ones have gone up and even more that what they cost new. I’m actually just learned about the SKX series after and after trying to find the Seiko SSB031also discontinue and was in the $200. price range. So after learning many of the models numbers and looking on eBay at thousands of different watches, I’m considering getting the SKX 013. I thought when they were sold, they only had one model, not counting the ones that were modified. But I see ppl. listing the SKX 013K1 and SKX 013K2 and wondering what the difference were? Is the the case finish and one being brushed and then other being polished? Or a code for older models and later models. Yeah, I don’t want to commit to one and later find out I got the wrong one bc I missed a detail.

Seikos SKX (007, 009, 013) have nothing to do against Orient Mako II or Ray II, nor Citizen automatics like the NY0040 Promaster and sucessors. •

newhuskytwenty orient ray ii is +18 secs/day, worse than my skx007. Plus, the orient will be trash once it breaks after it's no longer in production as parts will no longer be available. Orients are disposable watches.

i believe the orient is better, well it is of course, and its fifty dollars cheaper than this. hand winding hacking better accuracy and bracelet, have owned four skxes and 3 orient makos and rays, all my seikos have had qc problems besides one, orients all came perfect, just my two cents, the 7S26 movement is horrible, the power reserve lasts around six hours when taken off and is minus thirty seconds a day, orient plus five a day max.
