@@luluda4966I dont know, in terms of character writing it’s easily top 10. I love hunter x hunter and think it also has great character writing but I’d still put frieren over it. Don’t know if its necessarily better than hunter x hunter as a whole though. Hard to compare since hxh animation is relatively old (and frieren is beautifully animated) and its pacing is much slower

Sein is basically Heiter if he never went with Himmel. Two orphan friends, one a priest and one a hero. But Heiter accepted Himmel's encouragement while Sein refused his friend's. So Frieren becomes basically Himmel's encouragement for this version of Heiter.

I LOVED the kiss scene! lol I also enjoyed the intro scene, where Frieren was simply being snarky about the life-saving spell until Fern (and the potential appearance of her short temper) arrived.

Btw if you didnt know by now - Names in Frieren are German words, Himmel - sky, heaven(That's one of the reason Frieren is answering like that), Lugner - Liar, Stark - Powerfull, Eisen - iron and so on

@Xagzan from the way I comprehend, age is definitely a factor, but Sein is more so looking for that "Ara Ara" energy, and all of these characters exude it. You don't need to be a 40-50 year old woman to have that. Otherwise, Sein would've been all over Frieren. Either way, you asked for games with mature older women. These women are mature and, at the very least, the oldest female members of their party. You can take it or leave it

misako-san ch 目線が字幕に行くから日本語分からないタイプの日系と思ったが、ある程度以上に分かっている反応多いですね 素を見せるのはリスクあるし、視聴者に性格良く見せて人気、などよりはそもそも印象は良い 1話速攻で心根少し見えて、この回もギャグに備え腕組…ノンバーバルな仕草も注意かな、とか先入観すみませんorz 作品相性良く、全方位好感度上昇と思いますが、この作品どこで攻撃か読めず…私みたいに感動でリバース寸前…そこだけ注意要るかも😅
