I am not a huge believer in healing stones and some of this other stuff, but the stuff that he says to you really resonated with me. This is one of the best ASMR videos I have ever seen. I love the stuff he is saying right now as I am watching this on my tv about seeing that little wounded child inside us. Almost makes me want to cry. Thanks for sharing this with us. And I am glad it's over an hour long

Really cool guy. I don’t think I really believe in this chakra stuff, and I really just came for the ASMR, but he’s clearly an educated psychologist. I appreciate the balance of treatment. He helps the patient help themselves.

Carl Jung believed that human ritual developed in order to conjure up the appropriate motivation required to complete our necessary tasks. Sort of like listening to high energy music before an athletic performance. The purpose of the ritual is to condition an internal psychological response. It makes sense from an evolutionary perspective.

@@richardmangelmann4975 there's also this psychological concept about how a sense of awe or belief can be helpful to a person. This might be simply looking at nature, or believing in the power of prayer, or beta rays or whatever your jam is.

A positive effect born of pure belief is still a positive effect, I figure. Scientifically, on paper, it might be total bunk, but if a recipient gets a measurable, beneficial effect from it, I'd say it's absolutely worthwhile. The power of suggestion is incredible, see: children being cured of psychogenic cough, or some of the medieval hysterias that afflicted whole villages.

I like the background sounds. It adds to the experience in my opinion. Feels authentic. The only thing I’d like is for the room to be more.. padded maybe, the acoustics is a bit too harsh. Maybe some nice curtains and some framed painting :)

On the other hand, I think there’s probably a real psychological benefit to being in a relaxed state like this. Most of the people who go to these sessions are the ones who ‘believe’ in whatever form of spiritual healing is on offer, and if there is a psychological benefit, then they’ll be the ones to receive it!
