SEKI EDGE NAIL CLIPPER REVIEW

0:02 I own few models from Seki , 106/107/109/112 and 113.Double click to me produce just model 113 , take me 1 minute to realize why do such a double click .The cuting edge of top blade overlap the botom cuting edge on a first press to cut you have first click, when you open to relese then second click became present cos blades get unlock from overlap position . That could be considered as missalign , anyway the ones which dont do double click cut much easy on piece of paper then ones with double click , i presume that will do on nails too. I mention that missalign can be see only in proces of cuting if you look from a side , other wise on non cuting action cant be see any missaling if you close on empty the nailcliper .Hope i make sense .

Thanks for the breakdown. So a possible misalign could be causing double click. Luckily for me this cuts amazing, no issue with the cutting so I guess I'm lucky! Working great since I bought it till now, no issues! :)

As far as I know every nail clipper from Seki are sharpened by hand , so each one is unique , all of them cut very well ,and maybe the ones with double click will preserve better the cutting edge in time .

Great product. Should last for a long time by the looks of it. I use it plus I also have a larger for pedicure. Good review.

Thanks, I am glad you enjoyed the review. Yes I hope it lasts a long time. It is very precisely engineered, the blades line up perfectly and is of really solid quality materials. They say the stainless steel used is the same as what was used in the past for samurai swords! Japanese crafted and I think they will last for many years!

thanks for the review, i decided on these compared to the bulkier seki edge and green bell ones. I like that this one is slimmer, more compact, the nail catcher looks practical and can move etc.

Seki and Green Bell are same product made in same factory , Seki are named for rest of the world where they have stamp the name Green Bell where the Green Bell are for Japan destinate sale .

Still doing the job well. Still as good as the day I got them. No wear and tear on these nail clippers. Best ones I've owned in my life till now. I am assuming they will last me many years and cut my nails cleanly, and I love having the nail file built into the clipper too. For sure a great product!

Is the "seki edge" logo a sticker? Will it wear off easily?

Yes it is a sticker. It is stuck on there good. I don't think it will wear off but maybe it will peel off one day. I guess it depends on how good the glue is on it. Mine still looks like it is stuck on nice. If I was to guess it would be many years before it peels off. Regardless it's still cutting my nails like butter. Fantastic purchase for me so far.

@@Aly-so3sz Good timing for that question, I just cut my nails today and used the nail file. My nails are smooth and feel great. I would say the nail file is solid quality and easy to use. No complaints.
