@@yellowsaurus4895 It's weirder how we didn't get a skill to _properly_ punish grabs; both Mikiri and Senpou Leaping Kicks/High Monk directly counter a perilous attack and deal significant posture damage when done right, but your only option for grabs is just getting out of the way.
@yellowsaurus48952 жыл бұрын
@@ChishioAme ive honeslty never even considered that, but that would be cool as hell. Though im not sure exactly how it would work input-wise. Also im sure it would be rather time consuming to come up with unique grab-counter animations for all the different enemies that have them. It kinda feels like they were hoping the sabimaru dodge-slash could fill a similar role, but i think most people have a really hard time using that technique effectively. And the amount of damage it does definitely isnt on par with high monk and sakura dance, especially considering how much harder it is to time it properly.

Owl Father leaping into the air after getting his Shadowrush Mikiri-countered and then performing Shadowfall at 2:28 makes for one of the most beautiful shot of Sekiro's combat I've ever seen. In fact the whole fight is one of the most beautiful in all of Sekiro. The trailing light when Owl Father performs Whirlwind Slash, the dust on the ground when he readies it or when he reacts to a counter swipe, the impacts when he slams on the grounds... This is what makes Resurrection awesome, all these details to make the fight feel real. I need to ask Ongbal, when you show us a boss like this Owl, or a LMTSR (mini-)boss or in fact any encounter in Sekiro, do you practice until you get a flawless fight, or do you practice until you get a visually masterful flawless fight ? Because it never fails to disappoint on the visual side !
