THANK YOU. I've used Illustrator ever since Illustrator 3.0 and I've never run across this incredibly simple fix. I've always resorted to having to clear my preferences folder and losing lots of time in rebuilding them. Simple fix and I'll never forget again!

Thank you so much for this tutorial. Somehow, out of the blue, my Illustrator stopped having the bounding box to being able to scaling objects on my own with the mouse/graphics tablet. The solution to this issue is quick and simple and thank you so much for the help. I kept it as a note for the case the same issue occurs again to rely again on your video.
