That is a God given talent! Plus years of doing it..She was something special! She mastered her dance singing and fashion! She mastered speaking Spanish! I followed her about 1990!!! I remember listening to her for the first / her song baila esta cumbia! She came a long way in such a short time 90-95

Shes Texano so she grew up dancing to Texano music and Cumbia. She had incredible dancing skills but much of the time she is using the same moves every Texano girl and woman in their day did at the club lol!

She loved Janet Jackson back then, but over here I can see the influence of Rocio Durcal, one of her Spanish speaking idols Durcal had a beautiful stage presence and grace. Those hand movements are very Durcal, flamenco/paso doble style. Selena liked dancing and she was a natural.

Thanks so much. This concert was held about a few weeks before her passing. Ger backup singer/dancer Don Sheldon passesd away in 2016 from cancer. You must check iut some of their vids on YT. Very funny. Don't know if you're awarevor not but her husband Chris plays Lead guitar (white guitar) right behind her. Thanks again and stay safe. 😍😘🎈
