As a guitarist myself, we typically mainly use four fingers on the fret board with the occasional thumb over the top on the low E (the fat string at the top) for certain chords. This dudes thumb game is ridiculous. How jealous do you think a piano player would be watching a six fingered man play piano in front of him. That’s how I feel watching this guy, it’s almost unfair. Legend.

He would take transit to Yonge Street and look for clubs to play on open mic nights. He actually lost his eyes to retinoblastoma around the age of 1. We saw him play like 7-8 times in the 80s in clubs alone. Jeff was truly one of the most unique, talented musicians on earth!! I'm not sure about this but I heard he was kicked out of Humber College music school because he couldn't/refused to play the guitar in the conventional manner.

Jeff Healey’s a legend here in Toronto! I went to see him play at the, then, Skydome, in Toronto in 89’ when I was about 20! It was actually a Stevie Ray Vaughan & Jeff Beck concert but they invited Jeff Healey to join them to do a set! After they finished their individual sets, the 3 of them jammed it out together! Was the most epic guitar legend show!! 🔥I still have my ticket stub. Was truly devastating when only 5 or 6 months after that show when Stevie Ray Vaughan died tragically in a helicopter crash. RIP to both of them. Even the person I went to that concert with lost his young life a couple years later. Needless to say, that show still burns brightly in my memory 34 years later. RIP Stevie. RIP Jeff. ✌🏼 RIP Tommy.
