Yes he does - it's mostly BJJ and submission grappling oriented but maybe that will change! Here's his channel: kzbin.info/door/i_I_mIrzSOlgj_fAGA_FDQ

Good stuff, simple and effective. When a black bjj guy says "go to ground it is not a good idea" about a specific situation, you have to belive him.

What if you cannot fully reach around their waist nor reach around their upper body for the seatbelt grip?

Isn't there a better position for the head and face to NOT get elbowed while you are holding a rear clinch? It seems like there could be as I would move my face away and still have the same clinch. Or reverse sides.

Thank you for sharing this. In that seatbelt maneuver, can the person bite you? It looks like he can, but it may be just the camera angle. Thanks, guys.

How do you feel about using the S-grip there? Both for mobility to use the second variation of the gable, and to hide your fingers/grip from strips.

If you need the room I have no issue with it, anything will work to an extent from this position. I prefer not S gripping though as it creates more space.

The guy is pretty tall. Would this maybe need to be modified for a smaller person vs taller opponent?

Absolutely. We discuss a couple of options for shorter people (or normal people facing taller people) after the halfway point of the video

I guarantee you, Thai won’t work if your opponent is bigger than you. Especially if you’re 5’3 like I am. Useless for short ppl or if you’re opponent is built big. Great if you’re an ogre.

Check out the end of the video? They discuss being the smaller person. Still, generally all things being equal for hand-to-hand controlling a person, being bigger is an advantage. Life isn’t fair.
