GM has done it again that's one hell of twin turbo setup on the tweaked L8T engine with the engineering and execution first class. GM also has the L8P available as a high performance crate engine. 😎🇦🇺👍

What could be done with a L8T Short Block and my 2014 LT1 in my Z51 Corvette, and maybe a A&A Vortech, for the street. Which Cam, Which Intake, Like the Holley High Ram but converting to Port from Direct Injection maybe too expensive to achieve. Thoughts? Plans? We need an LT1 L8T street kit badly for DIY Hobbyiest installations.
@Sdpartscenter2 жыл бұрын
There's quite a few different ways to skin that cat for sure! Holley, BTR, Performance Design, MSD, and a few others offer a port injection LT intake. Running it full DI or Port or a hybrid of the two will be up to you and/or your tuner. Some businesses offer a secondary port injection setup with a holley that brings the fuel up as the boost increases and you can leave the stock DI fuel system alone (making tuning a lot less complicated for cold start/street driving). In all honesty, unless you're planning on going all out, a sleeved LT1 is more than sufficient and I have seen those make in the neighborhood of 2000hp as well.

@@Sdpartscenter Thank You I had looked at the LT1 Block and Crank with Forged Pistons and H Beam Rods but yes I cracked a sleeve in my Stock LS1 with a Magnuson and did not want to do that again, I bought the Iron LS1 Block from you guys to build a great motor that ran 140,000 and still going. Sleeving the LT1 with new pistons and rods just seemed like a lot money when the L8T long Block was looking reasonable. I need to check with a few local engine builders

Wonder if LS7 heads will work on this block? LS3 heads are great but the extra rows of bolts on LS7 heads lend well to boosted applications.
@gnxtacy Жыл бұрын
LS7 with its 2.200 intake valves need at least 4.100 bore…

LS7, unless it's an aftermarket small bore, will not work. You can however use LS3 head, or LSA/9.

wonder if you could put that crank in a lq4 6.0? use the cranks and rods and 4.030 pistons. would be a 393ci and won't have the piston coming out of the bore as far like you would with a 4" cranks😎
@sethh88922 жыл бұрын
Why wouldn't you just use a 4" crankshaft? I'm sure it's a lot cheaper, and does the same thing. The lq4 with a 4" stroker crank gives you a 408ci stroker. Which is a 6.7 instead of a 6.6.
