Having two helmets one with latest Cardo bold and one with Sena 50s, the two are night and day, sorry to say but the cardo easy to install, but everything was so simple to set up and voice commands work EVERYTIME and completely hands free so to focus on the road, but the Sena 50s voice commands works 2 times out of ten, hey google works fine but the hey sena is very hit and miss , very disappointed, and to much stuffing around to get app set up. do like how sena has good speakers and wifi update cord, but will be using the cardo for voice commands as they work everytime. and yes everything updated and reset many times.

2 out of 10? You've had much better luck than me. I've NEVER been able to get my 50S to recognize any command. Hey Google no longer works either. Junk.

I tried maybe 100 times, I don't know how but I could only say play music once. But Hey siri works everytime. Also Gopro voice commands works fine. But Sena, Senna, Sina, or anything else I tried dosnt work.

The voice commands in Sena 30K work so poorly that in practice it is completely useless. I say "Hello Sena" 30 times and it answers maybe 1 or 2 times, but most of the time not at all. I have 30K with firmware v. 3.1.1. I was not able to get voice commands to work when I bought the Sena 30K in 2019 at all. Then the season ended here in Norway. At season start in 2020 i updated all firmware. Still was not able to get the voice commands to work properly. Sometimes it would work but most often not. Then the 2020 season ended. Now in May 2021 we have started the 2021 MC season here in Norway and I have updated the Sena 30K with the latest firmware. Still not able to get the voice commands to function properly. It works sometimes, and then other times - even if I say and do the exact same thing - it does not work. When stuff sometimes work and then sometimes (most often) not work at all even if you do the same thing in all situations ... that is the worst kind of error. Because then its impossible to figure out what the problem is. I have tried to move the mic to different places. I have reset the 30K. I have tried different microphones. Nothing fixes the problem with the Sena 30K voice commands. Its completely useless. When someone calls me on the phone - they can hear me good and clear and I can hear them. So there is no problem with the microphone. Maybe Sena is listening to you all the time - as she says in this video - but Sena is almost never answering or reacting to your commands. So Sena 30K voice commands are still useless as of May 2021.

Have you found that the 30K intermittently does not respond to the "Hello Sena" voice command? Some days mine works and some days it decides to completely ignore me. Started happening after the 1.0.2 firmware. Haven’t tried 1.0.3 yet.

Hello Sena, I just got the sena SRL2 for the Shoei GT-Air 2. My problem is that every time when somebody hangs up the sound it makes is so extremely loud. How can I turn the sound down?! Please help!!!

I assume this doesn't work with the 10S and after a recent update mine completely fails to recognise my voice. I have even tried changing people's entries on the iPhone to make them obviously different to anyone else, but the headset tries to call almost anyone BUT the number I'm trying.

Hi, you may need to make sure the voice commands are enabled. When you are paired to you phone you ca use the Sena 50 Utility App to adjust settings and double check.

Hi Marc. The voice commands are activated differently on the 50S and 50R compared to the 30K. On the 30K, you would say "Hello Sena", wait for the headset to say "Say a command" and then give the command like "Check battery". On the 50S / 50R, you only need to say "Hey Sena" and then with a slight pause say the command such as "Hey Sena, (pause) Check battery".

The only problem with this model is no one tells you it is not compatible with Harley Davidson 2014 thru 2016. I just had to purchase the 20 k evo..model. how sad, I had to go back in technology instead of foward.

I just saw that SENA has one with a camera. I’m wondering if I made the wrong choice getting just audio. But I rather think having a separate camera system is probably a better idea. Too much integration and complexity is a recipe for more failure. ;-)

I have the Nexx X-com which is basically the Sena SMH10R rebranded, can I use "hey sena" with it? if not how can I get get "hey bixby/google" to work? I just want to occasionally ask it to play/change a song or maybe call someone or adjust volume. my phone is paired and I can listen to music if I manually put it on or answer calls if I push the button but I want to be all hands free.

For that device I believe the best would be to hold the center button for 3 seconds. This will trigger your voice dialer on your phone (siri or google) then you can ask the dialer simple commands. -Alyssa

I have the 30k with the Latest Software 2.3.1 and the Voice command "What can I say" doesn't work. Also while ridding Sena doesn't hear my voice well. Same with using Google Voice commands. Although when I call someone from my helmet headset People tell me they can't even tell I am riding they hear no background noise. What is the DEAL?? Please help. Also there needs to be better voice commands. I can't ask for directions through SENA except if I pull up google and I am not moving.

Just bought a SLR Mesh yesterday for my new Shoei helmet. Yes, it has Voice Command. That said, I find Sena voice commands spotty at best. That said, "Hey Siri" works pretty good on my iphone thru the mic.

My brand new SRL-Mesh does NOT say "say a command"!!! "Hello SENA" does NOT work. I have to say "Heeeyyy Sena" then the command. How about a list of commands that it's supposed to understand?!?!? BTW, the provided cable did NOT work for firmware update. On a whim I used a standard straight through cable and WOW it suddenly did the update! How hard would it be to put out a book for each device instead of cramming everything into one book and hoping customers can figure it out? I'm questioning why I bought this thing!

Hi Ahmed, you can control your phone from your Sena. For example you can trigger you voice dialer (siri, google) by holding the Sena 3 seconds, you will here the phone dialer noise (like the siri) and then ask it to call someone or whatever you wish. You can also simply use your phone as you mentioned (safely please) and the Sena will do anything your phone is doing (call, music, GPS) -Alyssa

Firmware updates will continue for all. The Mesh Intercom requires another processor though, so that is something considerably different. The voice commands in the 30K are a bit more advanced with more hardware as well.... Thank you btw. Shinny side up! -Alyssa

Hi. Pretty close as the Sena 20S will do voice commands as well, but big difference is the 30K is listening at all times, even while you are using another function... In regards to the unit, a 30K has Mesh Intercom, can create private Mesh Intercom groups of 16 riders, or public groups of unlimited riders, allow guests to listen into the mesh, and bring (3) Bluetooth users into a mesh. "siri" is the voice dialer on your phone. You need to use your Sena to trigger the voice dialer. You can do so by clicking the phone button easily. Then the rest is up to your phone and whatever commands you ask "siri" -Alyssa
