Learning these lessons as a young man, at times makes me sad for some of the old people i know, yet grateful to the wisdom inculcated in me early on. Thanks dad.

Seneca is the man. Thanks for your admirable work, Robin. Please consider the "Six Tragedies" by Seneca. They must be fantastic and full of wisdom.

I’m African , but I am impressed by creator of this matrix... they are wise men . Ancient wisdom is amazing . Teaching you how to control sprits . How to pray, how to think in accordance with the gods.... the god of anger , passion , the thing science calls emotions . Your anger is you destroying ya self in battle

The human species is a complicated being. Never quite satisfied with what we have and perpetually complaining about the things we don't have. If only I had this or that then I would be happy. Sadly, regardless of the material things we gain we can never quite fill that void. Always wanting more.

I struggle to know whether the photo above is of Seneca the Elder or the Younger.. when you google either (especially the younger), we see depictions of two very different looking people.

Does it matter what Seneca looked like?

3 years late but I'm pretty sure the photo is called the pseudo Seneca bust. Real Seneca has a different look.
