Sharing is part of the Senegalese society. Was taking that for granted until I left Senegal am a kind of lost cuz some African countries its “everyone for himself and God for us all. Thank you once again for sharing all these. So precious to my heart. I love you Senegal 🇸🇳 and I miss you 💚💚

Yes each country has its own culture and cuisine to share, and may all religions live in peace together, there are many paths to God and they all lead to the same place and may no religion deem itself superior to spiritual arrogance thinking their path is the only way - I also lived in France 15 yrs and became a French citizen, A retired friend of mine was rented military and he and his wife told me wonderful stories of his time in Senegal and Morocco

Senegal viewing is now complete. I saw this first video last and came to learn of the utmost respect this culture places on Catholicism and Muslim and whatever beliefs here. God will prevail....NOT anger, tribalism or wars. It is VERY unique. Thank you for sharing their cultures.

Mark and onions, a long story :). Mark, we cannot thank you enough for making us discover our own country. We were born and raised there, but lived in Dakar all our lives, until we came to the US. I feel like a tourist in my own country. This is incredible! I cannot wait to go back next summer in sha Allah and visit with the kids. I am taking good notes of villages to go visit, restaurants to visit, places to discover. May you stay blessed! You have no idea of the great job you are actually doing for all people. I haven't watched the entire video yet but when I saw Senegal in the title and Seashell? I was so excited b/c I love seafood and shellfish and more importantly, Senegal is the first home to the most glorious rice dish... JOLLOF RICE!! Tho, Nigeria and Ghana also are strong hubs for their Jollof, senegal is the first I believe!

The part I enjoyed most in this episode: the visit to Leopold Senghor's house... There's something my country, Nigeria, should learn from: Senegalese do not squabble along ethnic and religious lines. Every tribe and religion lives peacefully with each other... Any wonder they're comparatively more prosperous!

I don't know that much about Africa, sadly. But Senegal always appeared to me to be some haven of peace and political stability. I was uplifted by the Christian - Muslim entente there. All of this plus the food and culture makes me want to visit.

You can have a dinner that is cooked at the most pretentious expensive restaurant and truly feel at home and enjoy every morsel. I love the way they all gather together to worship. It seems to be a group of people that have a lot of love, humillity, and who love doing things for each other. I am wandering how they earn money, or if they do not need as much money. Such an incredible video. I almost want to live there. It seems like they have so much love for each other.

Yes Sénégal never experienced any tribalism fight or religion division we live peacefully as One like me my mom is christian and dad muslim. Am senegalese and many of my cousin are catholic and am muslim we live and celebrate everything together

Also most of the population are Muslims but our first president,the father of the nation was catholic.Senegal is a laïc county where religion is out of government,faith should be a personal thing

Myself I'm a Senegalese muslim living in a conservative southern state of the US. I pursued my whole education between catholic schools in Senegal before travelling to the States. Most of friends are Christian's. We never cared whose what. I was shocked how Americans made religion a big deal. One of my good friends is a hardcore southern born christian. I convinced him to visit a mosque one day. He couldn't believe it lol.

It's a very delicious dish and many ways to cook it, in Senegal and Gambia we call it cherreh. So Mark is having seafood soup with cherreh. Thank you mark

Mark, make sure you indulge in our various streets foods beignets, acara, deep fried yams, pastels etc… You need to also have breakfast or dinner at a “Tangana”… And finally stop by the southern region of Sénégal very rich in culture and gastronomically amazing.
