hi Oscar, Starting is not easy , updraft mode disturb stratification and convert material into ash, where it' not recommanded, It take about 40 to 60 min to rebuilt the right stratification and get running stability I'm thinking to add a rocket stove burner that heat the double wall space before starting ..

@senekemoi, I totally understand. I have some experience with that as well, considering the ash forming, although it's not too bad in the dual fire gasiffier. In the 2stage gasiffier this is done bu the engine exhaust heat this takes about 20 min to produce tar gas but it looks like I have enough charcoal to start rhe engine en letnit run for some time on low load si normal ignition presidure can be used. If i remember correctly in the paper of your fenturi gasiffier, they tell they start it up with propane through the same fenturi air nozzle it needssome kind of ignition source like boiler burners do . I believe you can also do it with a few m2 bag of woodgas from the previous run or something so a extra gas line to the air nozzles might help you a lot with this it could be a automatic startup program. I believe a of the shelf boiler burner control block setup can do the job 😉

Tout est en pression, Trémie et vis sont étanches ... pour le haut j'utilise un palier a appliquer blindé de pate a joint
