Perfection! Thank you! I'm 61 years old and had fallen off my fitness practices other than walking and occasional yin yoga. I was clear that I needed to introduce strength training for my healthy longevity. This routine is perfect for me. I love how you introduce stretching throughout rather than just at the beginning and end like so many other strength training videos I've seen. I just want to thank you for this channel! I've been suffering from an injured back and hip (now with rheumatoid arthritis!) for the past 6 years, and I've been searching for a low impact exercise routine for some time now that is gentle on my body but still makes me feel like I'm actually doing something (without further injuring myself!). I'm not yet 40, so it's nice that these "senior" workouts feel like more effort than the one I tried at the YMCA pre-pandemic. I also shared this channel with my chiropractor, I was so excited to find you! I look forward to your new videos every week! Thank you!

Hi! I'm new to your channel. I found you looking for strength workouts. Although I'm not a senior, your workouts are exactly what I need. If ever you consider a lower abdominal workout, I would greatly appreciate it! My doctor wants me to do lower ab exercises to help my lower back pain. I love how precise your exercises are with such proper form. I love your videos and find them very challenging!

Love these workouts. I especially appreciate the way they're organised per month which makes it so much easier to know what order to do them in. Love Lauren's quietly spoken manner too. So many fitness videos are loud and over the top with the commentators trying too hard to make it "fun" that makes the videos incredibly painful to watch. Awesome! I am one of those persons that would like to follow one and only one instructor once I feel that she/he is extremely helpful in my workout journey haha I have back problem aka bulging disc. Pilates has helped improved my condition so much, is it okay if I request exercise series for core strengthening without bending our backs? much appreciate it.

Thanks Tiffanie! That's awesome that pilates has helped your condition, a bulging disc is painful! As far as ab exercises go, have you tried my standing abs workout? I would think the standing position would be good for your back as there is not any rounding of the spine. I would also recommend my cardio & strength workout that's osteoporosis friendly. Again, there is not rounding or curvature of the spine in that video. I hope that helps!

How can anyone not like how you get us thru these exercises. I started with the 8 and then switched pretty quick to the 5. What a good arm/shoulder workout. Thanks for these wonderful workouts and the variety of all your videos Lauren. Keep them coming please. I’ve told all my old friends to try them.

I loved this upper body strength workout using one weight and focusing on one side at a time. The time flew by and I felt that it worked almost every major muscle in the upper body using very unique and different moves that I hadn't seen or done before! Thanks for this lovely one which I followed up with your 22 Minute Strength Training (Osteoporosis Friendly) Workout, which also used some very unique and different moves. I just loved all of these and I got in a 45 minute workout today combining both of these. Thanks Lauren. Have a great weekend❣Lana

I actually did this workout using 8 lbs. and got through it, with a little soreness in my left arm…..but not for long! I actually couldn’t decide between 5 or 8 lbs., but I’m glad I challenged myself and chose 8. I did a 5 minute warmup before doing this, as it was my first workout of the day. Also included the one mile walk and back pain stretch class. Thank you again!! Love SeniorShape!! 😊

The weekly program is almost all new for me, so it won’t be boring. I started with dumbbells for my arms. And specifically with 8 pounds! But to my amazement, I almost made it! Only when lifting up did I take 4 pounds. So next time I will succeed! Thank you so much Lauren for the very motivating workout!

Nice Workout ! Used 4 different weights in lbs. Just some parts of my body are not as strong as others 5, 8, 10 and 12s. Love the combos. The teapot is a new one for me. Love it ! Gonna add some chest strengthening so I feel more complete. Thank you Lauren !

Found this one by accident searching for something for my arms instead of my boring PT routine. Wonderful! Nice strengthening arm workout without being too difficult. Easy enough to have several different weights in case the movement is too challenging with one weight. Thank you Lauren.

Liked this one - I can’t remember doing this 🤨 but The Teapot /. bending to my right my spine was talking to me .. but my left side bending all quiet... still raining here as I did this after the ball stretch - thankyou 🙏 31/3 Thursday

Sure Susan! Putting these two together is a great total body strength workout. I like to alternate my strength training days with my cardio days, so make sure you are some cardio a few days a week along with your strength training :)

Did a yoga session with you this morning, rode my bike this afternoon for cardio, and finished the day with this workout from 10:30 p.m. to now. Had a phone call that went for two hours from a dear friend, so I'm late doing weights tonight. Love that you mentioned you sleep better at night after doing weights. Thank you for these videos. COVID has put my gym workouts on hold since March 2020 and my doctor does not want me to go back anytime soon. I'm almost 61 with back problems but I found your exercise routines doable. My only regret was not finding your channel sooner.

After doing what I consider intermediate level workouts with 10-15 lb weights, I resisted senior workouts, thinking they wouldn’t be challenging enough. Alas, knee and shoulder problems forced me to reconsider. One day I stumbled upon your channel, and I’m so glad that I did! I love that you incorporate balance as well as strength into the workouts. Your calming, gentle presence is a welcome change from other workouts that have me feeling pressured to keep up and perform complex moves that leave me feeling frustrated, and if I’m not careful, injured. Please keep these workouts coming-they’re just what I need!

sleeping well is such a nice benefit of all exercise, but I find it especially true with strength training too. Yay!
