I recommend getting into the water with a dolphin and try to move it around in the water and you will quickly realize how insanely powerful marine animals are before strategizing if you could win a matchup with a more dangerous shark.

Hi, your friendly biologist here: Those were not seals, but sea lions. The bird with the big beak was a pelican, not a stork (there are pelicans in america) Condors are from north (california condor) and south america (andes condor) Capybaras are from south america White sharks can jump 9 meters above the water, so imagine their speed. Also, you have to check out that video of PBS eons on spitting cobras. Long story short they evolved to spit venom to most likely defend themshelves against us specifically

Technically, white sharks aren't even the top predator in Australian waters. Orca (very occasionally) eat 'em, or kill them as predator-competition. It's not even an "Animal Faceoff" type situation, it's more like "light snack".

Dude, our wombat has been my favorite Aussie animal since I was five..when one bit me while I was feeding it. They can run at 45km/h, their teeth never stop growing, and they crack the skulls of dingo's with their hard rumps against the roof of their burrows when attacked...and have been known to flip small cars on the Nullarbor Plain when hit. I've ran a wombat over on a motorcycle and somehow managed to not stack. Felt like hitting a pile of bricks. He was already dead though, so not sure if it counts. Had a bunch of fur wedged between the foot rest and frame though, lol.

We have several wombats on my property. We had a huge boy that was easily 3x the size of my german shephard. One night my dog was barking and when i came out the wombat was between the pool fence and my toyota corolla. My dog was making it back up into my car and everytime it backed up my car shifted a couple inches. They have serious power and can get really aggressive... actually most things in australia get really aggressive, i got kicked by a kangaroo when i was a kid, and a koala seems cute in the zoo but wild ones are feral. Also crocodiles have a fatal flaw. You can hold their snout shut with one hand so reverse triangle choke from the back and keep their mouth shut. Finally manta rays have no stinger and no teeth i feel they would be an easy win.

Random tid bit, I'm an outdoor educator and wilderness guide and tbh Australia's animals really aren't that dangerous; in the sense that there is nothing that will meticulously search and hunt you. Spiders, snakes, crocodiles, dingos and even sharks are reactive attackers, unlike in northern America where you have like bears and wolves and mountain lions

Funny thing about crocs and alligators, the muscles Mike was on about are super super strong, at opening those jaws not closing them, (I may have got it the wrong way round) but when nature check up blokes are working with them the wrap tape around their jaws at the end so that they can't open so in theory, Seth's sort of right idk don't fancy his chances however

The thing about great white sharks is that when people fight them off, the shark wasn't actually trying. If the great white wants you gone, you won't ever see it coming. These things can swim up to 34 mph and like to strike from below. They don't really register humans as prey, and most attacks are curiosity bites delivered at their cruising speeds rather than hunting speeds. Problem is that their curiosity bites are deadly.

If you want nightmares, check out the extinct Australian megafauna. There's giant versions of current animals, including a marsupial lion and a giant carnivorous kangaroo. And then there's animals that have no current Australian analogue, like a giant Terror Bird nicknamed "The Demon Duck of Doom" and a giant constrictor snake who's genus is Montypythonoides, aka the Monty Python [I'm not making this up, Google 'Montypythonoides Riversleighensis']. I suspect it's because palaeontology in Australia took off _after_ the beer Esky was invented.

Fun fact, for alligators and crocodiles all the jaw strength goes towards closing, so typically if you can get a good grip around it’s closed mouth it won’t be able to open in….do with that what you will fighters

Fun video but I was confused about which animals you thought we have in Australia and which are just in the zoo. You mentioned that elephants and giraffes aren't Australian but it seemed like you suggested that Capybaras are so maybe you also think we have otters and some others... Certainly some viewers might mistake the info here for facts (even though you're just having some fun). Dingo's are a bit more than just wild dogs and have some interesting attributes that set them apart... But in terms of fighting, you might be able to use the same methods as a more capable breed of dog. Cassowaries are much more dangerous than Emu's (always funny how Americans say "ee-moo" but we say "eem-you). They have huge claws, are much more aggressive and can tear you open. A Stingray is what killed Steve Irwin so not to be underestimated. Irikanji Jellyfish are one of the worst things to encounter in the ocean. The only hand to hand defence is to swim away if you see it coming. I think a human could beat a big red Kangaroo if you have a plan. Surprise appearance by Ramsey at the end with some good ideas. Pity you didn't see Tasmanian devils and Platypodes (that's supposedly the correct plural for platypus). The devils have an insane bite strength for their size and the Platypodes have a poisonous spur so it's touch and go with either.

I once saw a guy fight and KO a kangaroo with a roundhouse kick on liveleak (disclaimer: please don't hurt random wild animals), so I'd imagine circular attacks can knock them out. They seem to have a bobble head that absorbs linear movement very well, but not so much hooking/circular moves, because Kangaroos don't really do those to each other much.

I got headbutted by a young common seal (around 180lbs) while snorkelling, it came out of nowhere and caused all the air to leave my body. A sea lion packing an extra 400lbs and traveling at nearly 40mph would probably have broken ribs if not just snapped me like a twig.
