So what makes my baby constipated on gentlease? On reguline deff softer but not somewhat pasty... too much lactose and she is deff gassy so like for example regular infant she is too gassy and Wilbert watery

Do you know if realy gentlease contains soy proteins ? Because on the ingredient it say partially hydrolsed nonfat milk and whey protiens ( soy) does it mean it's from soy ?

My baby isn't born yet but there is an autoimmune disease (type 1 diabetes) in the family. I have not been able to find a formula that's hydrolyzed and leaves the lactose intact. They all seem to decrease the lactose when they hydrolyze. Are there any formulas that hydrolyze and are 100% lactose?

My baby is in similac advance from the hospital but I am needing to switch to something that may decrease the screaming, gas and reflux. Hi so I'm still very confused lol my almost 3 month old was drinking newborn when he was born but had to switch him to gentle ease but noticed he got constipated with gent lease so I decided to try similac optic grow for immune system and its suppose to be kinda like enfamil enspire so I started feeding him the similac on Tuesday and Wednesday he got his first set of shots and Thursday he pooped a little hard ball but accompanied by diareah keep in mind I had also been giving him some Tylenol for pain cause it seemed like his little legs were hurting from the shots and Friday he had an extremely watery stool should I switch formula back to gent lease? Or was it the Tylenol? Or was it his vaccines please message me on this just in case I have more questions

Hi! Awww, you guys have a lot going on! It can be impossible to know what's bothering baby (Formula? shots? teething? bad dream?). I would talk to your doctor first. I can tell you that switching from Enfamil Newborn --> Gentlease --> SImilac Advance is going from: Intact Protein & 100% lactose (Enfamil Newborn) --> Partially Hydrolyzed and Very Low Lactose (Gentlease) --> Intact Protein & 100% lactose (Similac Advance). So these are really big switches. He would need time to adjust to each before you would be able to observe improvements. Thanks! 1 week old is having only one large stool a day for the last 4 days, with the last one a bit watery. He's quite fussy as well. Been on Enfamil Enspire. What should I switch to?

Hi Clarence, 1 week is so young! The best thing to do is call your pediatrician first - so much is changing so fast right after birth, you need to touch base with your doctor who is familiar with your baby's history and your feeding details. and CONGRATULATIONS on your brand new angel!

My baby was taking enfamil neuro pro infant then starting being very colicy and having trouble with gas so my ped had me switch to the gentlease but now that shes 3 months shes eating alot more and i did some reasearch and i found that similac has a similar formula the pro advanced also gentle and costs less then enfamil is it ok to switch her? Do similac and enfamil have same ingredients?

my baby is almost 3 weeks old, she has gas, and spitup not a lot of spit up but enough, she also gets gas bubbles and she has somewhat of a hard time pooping, she cries all night long . She was on GERBER Gentle. Now I'm torn between Enfamil gentlease and similac sensitive, I have NO idea which one to buy !

Hi Ashley, I am so sorry! definitely ask your doctor. Between those two, I can tell you Gentlease is also a partially hydrolyzed formula (like Gerber), but Sensitive is an intact protein formula. So if you want try a similac formula (which is palm oil free), you may consider Total Comfort. this formula has the same protein source as Gerber, but is almost lactose free and will be palm oil free.
