This was Seo Taiji he is first generation (originator of Kpop) he debuted in the 90's this was a part of his 25th anniversary concert. BTS did a cover of his song "Come Back Home" and he liked it and invited them to be a part of his concert. He was the one you did not recognize. I do not know much about him except he is a hiphop artist. And BTS was amazed at the size of his crowd since this was in 2017 it was before their own huge tours came about.

This is “classroom idea” at Seo Taiji 25th concert. It criticized about standardized education system. So Taiji made a concept mixed uniform of student and army. The flag is symbol about it. Taiji used it for a longtime. Featuring(growling part) is heavy metal group “crash”. Lyrics Enough! That's Enough! We don't want such kind of teaching anymore. That's Enough! That's Enought! You are forcing us into a small prison everyday at 7:30 and putting the same things into 9 millions of children's brain its wall surrounded the children, and the room has swallowed the children. That's the iconic moment when the father of kpop pass over his flag to BTS and he said that "it's ur (BTS) generation now". He really did made right decision there. Army's love SEO TAIJI.💜 "Classroom Idea," another of Seo Taiji's songs that remains relevant, criticizes the school system for being so stringent and suffocating and more like a factory than anything. In it, Seo Taiji returns to his metal roots and screams that enough is enough, that he doesn't want to be a part of this. The abrasive style of the song and its criticisms is what led many parents to accuse the group of inserting satanic messages in their music to brainwash their children. Nearly 20 years later, BTS picked up on the same themes in their school trilogy (2 Cool 4 Skool, O!RUL8,2?, Skool Luv Affair). In the trilogy, BTS focuses on the problems high school and college students grapple with, namely the pressure from parents and society to do well in school, get a good job, and make money.

The flag i think had seo taiji's symbol the person tearing their throat up was someone from the band i think and this song is originally Seo Taiji's but BTS covered it a while back, and Seo Taiji loved it so he asked them to take part of his 25th anniversary concert which, as you can see, was HUGE. He's a legend there and the fact that he asked BTS to join him in his concert was like him passing on the torch

*Pronounciation:* You pronounced the second part correctly and Seo is pronunced like the - eo - in the word cameo with an s at the beginning. *About Seo Taji:* He is pretty much THE original kPop artist, without him this industry wouldn't exist. He was part of the group "Seo Taji and the Boys". One of these boys went on and founded one of the big three entertainment companies in Korea. Interesting fact: Despite these close ties he chose BTS as the ones that metaphorically and literally in this performance should carry on his revolutionary message. One last thing: He is the guy with the glasses and he turns 47 next month. *About the song:* It's not very unusual that you thought it had this oldschool feel. It was released originally in 1994 (so it's not surprising the audience knew the song :D). Seo Taji celebrated his 25th anniversary at this concert. *About the flags:* They represent the Korean education system which doesn't allow Korean kids to be actual kids. I've read something very interesting at some point in regards of an BTS remake called "School of Tears". In Korea you don't make friends in school, everyone is your competition, you are either the best or you are nothing. Korean children and teens study easily 16 hours a day. If you can't enroll in one of the top universities, or simply don't want to because you are more into art or other "useless" (according to these standards) fields, you pretty much are a disappointment or to put it blunt: Your parents wasted precious money on raising you. *The depressing part about this performance is that Seo Taji was holding a mirror infront of Korean society in 1994 about their education system and BTS still had to make "N.O" exactly 20 years later since nothing had changed in these 20 years.*

They aren't even similar. I tried to describe a vowel that is closest to a pretty simple sound for me, which doesn't exist in the English language. And no it's not uh because it's not Sukjin either. It's a vowel between o and u. For me as I said it's an easy sound since this is a very common combination in the dialect I grew up with, but how do you describe it to someone that never heard this sound? I've seen enough vlogs from Americans that are trying to learn German and even worse lived here and came across German dialects, I know they struggle with this sound, so I tried to make it easy (even if it isn't exact) because nobody that reacts on KZbin for fun wants to learn a complete new skillset regarding languages, just to satisfy a few children that are offended by a pronounciation that isn't 100% correct, even if they simply can't say it because their vocal cords and face muscles aren't trained for foreign vowels. So this song is basically criticizing the oppressive and strict environment of school in Korea, where the teachers are basically dictators and kids aren't allowed much if any free thought, hence the flag that's kind of reminiscent of a fascist government (or a revolution). The outfits they're wearing are also based on old-fashioned school uniforms. The song was kind of revolutionary back in the day and Seo Taiji (so-tay-ji) & Boys became legends for their social criticisms. I highly recommend you listen to BTS's cover of "Come Back Home"!! They're not in the video so you don't have to do a reaction, but it's honestly one of my favorite things they've done. I also highly recommend you listen to the original by Seo Taiji first just to hear what an amazing job they did updating it.

Basically one of the first to mix hip-hop, pop and choreographed dancing in Korea and was INSANELY Popular with a crazy fan base. Ok quick answers and history lesson on K-Pop/Idol Music. Pronounced Suh-Teh or Tae-Gee/서태지 He is the OG of Idol groups. I actually like this song, and the lyrics... its about standing up to education system n society ( authoritarians ideas that the government choked on students mind) they cramped students into just one type of ppl and kill the creativity n dreams in young ppl.
