Was there from 84 to 87 in the military. It is an amazing place. Because of my job, I saw places most would never see. A lot of them far from American bases but I was treated with much respect. I love the people. They are so friendly.

Zeny Macariola hi, it was actually easy going solo in Korea. Most of the people can understand english except for province area. Their subway/train system is also easy to understand. Love Myeong dong where i got a lot of free face masks. 😅 Unfortunately, was not able to try korean bbq because of the minimum required persons to dine in. Other than that, nothing much complicated in Korea. Oh if you will visit Garden of Morning Calm or Nami, suggest to go there very early. It gets really crowded. Also, the garden of morning is only until 5pm so I suggest, go there first before going to the other two. :) hope you will enjoy your solo travel.

@@edralinenriquez Hi Edralin, Thank you for your tips this is very helpful. I did google Morning Calm and Nami. It's definitely a must see, it's absolutely gorgeous! I look forward of experiencing eating all sorts of food too. LOL but for now I just have to wait till this pandemic is over. Hopefully by next year. Ugh!. much appreciated. Thank you again. 🌹

I lived and worked in Seoul from 2007 to 2018. It is a wonderful city and I miss it SO much! This video covers a lot and gives you a good overview. My personal favorite area was around Anguk station. Insa-dong has lots of art galleries and shops and Samcheong-dong to the north has a ton of cafes and atmosphere. Seoul is very safe, and the transportation is fantastic. Explore, explore, explore!

Thank you very much! Those are great neighborhoods. I think what makes Seoul so fascinating is that it is just so spread out and it does take a long time to properly explore. In fact, there are many areas we've yet to visit. Thank you! We spent two months shooting this one as opposed to the usual week to ten days we often have in other cities so we were able to cover more than usual.

Terrific sights to see and all that yummy food. I feel sad knowing that I was there but I saw extremely little. A few years ago I had a 24 hour layover by the airport then I overslept and rushed into the city on a cold wet gloomy day. The sky was so foggy that you couldn't see the mountains from the city like y'all saw. But trying to navigate the subway was an adventure - it affected my dreams. People were very pleasant and the food was nice. I did get a few good pictures. I just need to plan a trip to "see" Seoul. I was actually on my way to a two week vacation in Vietnam - that part couldn't have turned out better. That's prabably when I first discovered your videos researching Vietnam. I think you two make a lovely couple - smart and fun.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for posting this! My Mom and Aunt are visiting us in Korea for the first time soon. We live a few hours away from Seoul so we are not that familiar with it so this is really helps a lot to get visuals. Will be in Seoul for a few days and you've given us PLENTY of focus. We had a lot of ideas because Seoul is an embarassment of riches but it's great to have some more specifics.

Get real. Dreadful city. Ugly, dirty (people spit in the streets, leave garbage in the streets), poor urban design and infrastructure, unfriendly people with terrible attitude towards foreigners, no character either. Miserable, fake and the most impolite culture I have ever experienced anywhere in the world. A first class shit hole with no redeeming features. Avoid this place and enjoy life.
