Patricia Great video, you always make me smile. “At least the 01 is consistent” cracked me up 😁 I started my funeral savings in January 23 and I’ve got £1,050 but I want it in cash for my daughter so she knows where it’s hidden, funerals are so expensive. I started an emergency fund at the same time as you did and I’ve been throwing what money I can at it but I don’t have a rainy day fund - are they very different? My water bill has gone up to £32 a month 😱 which horrified me as I live alone (have a partner but we live separately). That is because I have a big flower filled garden (it’s nicer than the house) and my partner is the old fashioned, do it properly type, so he waters constantly and I’m sure I spend more on compost and bark than I do on food 😁 I’m off for lunch with my sister in law so I’ll shut up. Will be watching for mini Monday.

Hi Patricia 🙋🏻‍♀️🥰 , aww thank you so much 🙊 wow! Over a thousand pounds is amazing in your funeral fund. Well done , yes they are crazy prices. I am still debating whether to pay in full or get a plan , i also worry that the longer i wait , the more expensive it will be. Tricky isnt it. I think “rainy day” could be anything , maybe unexpected or if you are bored or anything really . Emergency to me is for a major emergency. I may be wrong though. In my ideal world i will have … a bank buffer ( for if i go over budget) , a cash buffer ( for the house for whatever reason) , a few months ahead ( for if i lost my job and had absolutely nothing for a few months to cover the bills) and then an emergency fund ( like when my son had his car accident) i can see the benefits of them all , and then a rainyday / f*** it fund 😂😂 , i know its alot 😂😂😂 , trouble is i would have £5 only in all of them 🙈🤷🏻‍♀️. Im sorry about the water bill 😢 , do you have water butts for collecting the rain water to use on the garden? I dont at home but i do at the allotment , i dont know if that would help bring your bill down abit. The thing is the garden brings you so much joy, it is clearly worth it. @@cherryblossombudget We’ve discussed the water butt idea but where the downpipes are it’s too narrow on the paths to house butts. We do have a couple of big dustbin type butts and we just leave the lid off when it rains but they are away from downpipes. Lunch was a bit of a disaster. We met at 1 only to find the cafe closed at 2 on Sunday 🙈 We hurried a bacon sandwich and latte but really it was over far too fast (mr Bean was obviously present).
