(Spoilers for Fourth Wing) Xaden in my opinion was really toxic towards Violet. I get why some people would like him, but if you really think about what he did and put yourself in her shoes….. at least for me it would’ve been a deal breaker. He never should have engaged in a relationship with Violet if he knew he was going to have to keep this life changing secret from her. He also could have warned her way earlier on that Dain was stealing her memories, instead of keeping that a secret from her as well. Throughout the book, Xaden didn’t show any signs of feeling guilty or apologetic for lying to her. Did he have good reasons not to tell her? Yes, but that doesn’t mean he shouldn’t feel guilty or that it was okay for him to have slept with her knowing all this information. Again, this is all just my opinion and I’m glad you enjoyed the book!
