Greetings from Portugal.(sorry in advance for my bad English 😁)I've had the same problem on my wife's Toyota Aygo with just 110.000km. It was burning around 1 liter of oil per 1000 kilometers.Allways serviced on time,(15.000km oil change intervals, as recommend on the manual) First, I've checked compression and it's was perfect( according the service manual) I've tried many things, replaced valve stem seals, replaced pcv valve, installed a oil catch can, oil flush from various brands, fuel injection cleaner on the tank and on the cylinders etc, etc, etc. I've been fighting with this problem for the last 3 years. Nothing worked. Until I've listened an idea on a Podcast (AGCO automotive) from Louisiana (to me, absolutely the best automotive podcast). First I prayed for divine help, then I've removed the spark plugs and soaked the cylinders for 2 days, with carburetor cleaner made by Mannol (Germany) , then soaked the pistons for 3 days, with a mix of 50/50 acetone and atf oil. Cranked the engine without the spark plugs (the amount of carbon that came out flying, was just unbelievable). Finally, replaced the oil and filter and FINALLY problem solved. The car doesn't smoke, doesn't drink a drop of oil between oil changes. And yes, I've reduced the oil change to 5.000 km, I suspect that it Was The 15.000km oil change, that got the piston rings stuck) I hope it helps. 👍

You're English is great. That's good info too. Someone else mentioned a process almost exactly as you describe and they had complete success as well. I might try this or something very similar. Thank you for your comment!

It's still my daily driver, and burning a quart in 300 to 500 miles. There will be more videos coming on it (God willing), I've just had a lot of other projects that have taken priority lately. Thanks for asking, Ben!
