Starborne being "daemons" or "conjured memories" has been officially decanonised. The Starborne are now also spawned from spawning pools and the summoning is just teleporting down fresh troops from the temple ships. Also the paintjob on the trolls is INSANE! gorgeous paint jobs.

To Bridger's point near 54:20 about Cities feeling sad and bland because it's just a catch-all for old models. That's why there's some frustration from Skaven and Beasts of Chaos players. Sure their flavor is much stronger than Cities but for the most part both those model lines are quite old.

The ONE thing I wanted when Age of Sigmar was in its infancy was, in this High Fantasy metal album cover setting, to see what life and militarisation for the 'mere mortals' was, so Cities was exactly what I wanted and I'm super excited for the Dawnbringer Crusades-themed release.

Forgetting bravery on the trolls in the first few turns is brutal. Magic killing one means 5+ is losing 1 6 is losing 2. They have low bravery you can’t forget it with trolls

Appreciate its a new book and I don't think it would have made a huge difference to outcome of the game, but Kroak definitely had 5 casts in turn 2 and the Slann does not give himself +1 to cast. Also the unit that is teleported cannot then move in the following movement phase

And dracothians tail deepstrike has to happen wholly within 12” of a cosmic node so the carnosaur couldn’t have dropped where it did. It’s not the same as stormcast.

I started counting the spells after our turn of just losing the plot with so many casts. Starborne hero phase sure feels like numberwang! I did take note that can't teleport in enemy hero phase but only think I used it to move my banner boy out of harms way which he could of done in movement anyway, so hopefully it had minimal impact to the game. The new book has a lot going on.

hello! great video guys congrats. in the first heroe phase of seraphon the fungoid should be stayed dead because the range spell of kroak was 18" no 12"

On your second turn, you could have used PPC for the "azure light" to heal your saurus :) For 5 PPC it is a garanteed heal for multiple units !

Oof. I get it’s your first time with the book, but there was so much done wrong turn one. You moved your skinkpriest after teleporting it. You cannot do that. It says it within the teleport action. You summoned “deepstruck” your carnosaur outside of 12” of a node. You can’t bring in units anywhere on the board anymore (good for overall health of the game, but most armies have the ability to do so anywhere). Looks like the skinks were outside of it too. They nerfed a lot of our stuff hard. Still looking forward to the book, but it’s not as stinky as other books. Especially with our huge lack of bonuses to hit.

Sadly pretty impactful to the game Seraphon can’t teleport in the opponent’s turn as it says you can carry out those heroic actions at the start of your turn. Still an amazing game!

Ouch, yeah I just reread the sub faction entry. Frustrated I didn't catch that, but the book has so much going on and not having the actual book to flick through made it tricky. Glad you enjoyed the game though, thanks!
