The LZN-B90 was designed to retain as much of the vintage fat and growl of the original B90, but it still has a mind of its own. We used Alnico 8 magnets to keep it from getting too dark. We highly recommend trying it with both Series and Parallel wiring for even more versatility!

Signal chain: LZN-B90 pickup installed on a short-scale Serek Midwestern Bass strung with DR Hi-Beam strings. The bass was recorded direct through a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 and a mic'd Aguilar SL-112 powered by a Gallien-Krueger MB-Fusion 800.

Wow these sound rather stout and fantastic. I don't know which I prefer, but am hearing the Lazen in Parallel as being a lovely middle ground between the original and the Lazen in Series.. Perhaps with a bit more of an open top end than both while retaining a lovely voluptuous low end. These pickups sound amazing! Want.
