A needle with a bit of flux on the tip should be a better tool to pick and place tiny parts, by leveraging superficial tension. A friend of mine was using this technique when building jewelry.

Steve. I’m not sure if you’re aware of this but you are extremely talented. You always knock yourself for not being “good” at things but in actuality, you have skills and patience not many others share. I’ve worked on electronics for 30+ years and can’t do or wouldn’t attempt to do the things you do. When you see a chip you’re working on under the microscope, the viewer thinks it’s huge but most don’t realize how unbelievably small these things are. You are brilliant and a blast to watch. Keep up the good work.

I love the cod3r he's the reason we know what most of the error codes mean. The fact he works out of his shead is amazing. He's a self taught legend. He's inspired me to learn. I have always had a nack for fixing things. I could strip and rebuild a Jag V12 engine at 12 years old as I grew up with 4 generations of mechanics. My grandad was an RAF mechanic in WW2 my dad was a mechanic for Jaguar my older brother is a mechanic for BMW and I grew up to work for purgeot. Now I had to give up work due to MS my body is failing me but my mind is still working at 1000% I was diagnosed with autism so i always have to be doing something or I drive my wife crazy taking the microwave apart or something 😂. I just got into fixing electronics I started by repairing my brother's OG Xbox replacing all the caps and modding the fan with a led fan and led ports at the front. I'm starting with older stuff that's easier before going to modern tech. I hate seeing things thrown away so I fix anything from furniture to hoovers, TVs, pc, laptop etc. I have a a garage full of tech that I keep incase I need parts or wires and it has come in handy a few times especially with Dyson hoovers. People will throw them away when they just need a clean or a new tube or seal.

Excellent job in replacing the ESD chip. But one thing annoys me, your XBox is sending it’s heat directly to the Denon amplifier that could bring faster wear on it. Mine is put sideways so it blow more to the back than on my Set top box and my Blu-Ray player. Another way would be to swap the two so that your XBox expels to the wall.

@darkspongebob112 жыл бұрын
the wires are probally just going to the tv like it normally would also thats very odd having it go throught some kind of pc just for audio
@RyanDavidHale2 жыл бұрын
@@darkspongebob11 I should probably clarify My consoles are running into my PC monitor(s), but as the monitors I am running have no speakers, I am currently running the audio into my pc and outputting the audio into my 5.1 speaker setup - IT certinly isn't a great setup as I then need my PC on just to hear anything. So my 360 for example (it's the old, old version so no hdmi output, I have VGA or phono, I use th VGA to a hdmi output but tha leaves me with the audio on the phonos) I have just found out about HDMI splitters so looking into that too. Back to Steve's setup, He has loads of different consoles hooked to his TV and just wondered how he switcehs between them and handles the sound of the older onces - I can see a Denon box, so guessing that some sort of amp? and as he has multiple speakers, again guessing he is running some surround setup - would be cool to learn more Cheers
@darkspongebob112 жыл бұрын
@@RyanDavidHale it looks like a fancy tv so it possibly might have a lot more ports then a normal probably cheaper tvs and yeah even if there isnt enough you can get splitters and stuff to actually get more ports, i ideally need this so i can actually Easly switch between them because i only have one port on my extremely cheap tv
