I read an article somewhere that theorized chunks of bronze or copper alloy circulated as money (by a set formula of weights) in the pre-coinage era, but could also have done so after the breakdown of Roman Britain. By the way, I am glad you kept extending the video, I was beginning to be disappointed that you were ending it so soon! Keep finding and extending!

Gosh, that Roman's astounding mate!... 😍 🙏🏻 Yeah, looks like a fabulous little field as you say - and the moleys helping you out nicely too!... 🤣 👊 Just more on speakers: Most of the better ones I find (and with 3.5/Aux inputs), seem to be the big *brick* type ones - it's frustrating hey? (and I'm concerned they'd be really cumbersome strapped to your bag...) 😨 Just another thought tho' which might help: If you have a speaker that's still good, (but maybe not powerful enough?): I've long thought that you could put your *microphone* on your bag-strap! If you try this - put it *Right* below your mouth, and in the centre. It should sound better there, plus it will be much closer to the speaker... You would just need to do the following 3 things tho': 2. Neatly wrap the cable around your bag strap, (and tape it up). 3. Put your record unit in the bag, ready for this, and most importantly: 3. Put a proper wind-cover on your mic. Anyways, have a think about that Alex, and hope it helps... 🙏🏻 Ttfn, Bobby (Ps. I'll still carry on the 'speaker search' 🤣 😅 🐭
@HolzHammerSagas8 ай бұрын
Hey Bobby sorru its taken so long to get back to you and thank you so much for all that looks like i have some decisions to make - i have started to try and move the speaker nearer the mic but even that has its problems as the best place for the mic in the windiest country in the world is inside a lapel so shielded a bit ... anyway I wil keep trying and thanks again!!!

Alex, the Constantine coin is really amazing. It’s like it was dropped yesterday. I hunt by sound as well. I like having the vdi to verify but I rarely do check the screen because the sound is what does it for me. My friends can’t understand how I do it I just do. Thanks for another great video. It seems like all the energy that it takes to mine, refine, and transport the bronze would mean they reuse every scrap that’s left over. They had pretty sophisticated casting systems quite early so it wasn’t as primitive a process as you’d imagine. Based solely on my intuition as a machinist and someone who has done bronze casting, I’d guess the blobs are from finished items being melted later. Maybe in a structure fire or from bon fires to dispose of rubbish.
