(And Descendants two basically retconned the entire series away) 10:00 And people who only know what a spindle is through Sleeping Beauty don't actually know what a spindle is. Jane's line in rather be with you was a play to Mal because she's the daughter of Maleficent and her mom used a then current way to cure her victim (auoroa) who's audrey's grandmother, and no one in this current generation would know what a spindal is (and honestly the only reason I know is because of the abc/disney show once upon a time and decendants) in the song "I'm Evil" each child of a fariytale story has a crystal that they were given at birth... the villan kids also have one.. mal's was missing though because Maleficent hid hers from the auradon kingdom and the whole point of the episode was the children going back to the isle and trying to find mal's crystal and when they eventually did they didn't realize that as an added percaution Maleficent cursed her own daugters crystal to turn whoever holds it and looks into evil... oh and there's like a villan in this episode I believe as well (it's more of a B plot) one thing I love about Wicked world the series is that it expands the universe even more! like how we had Dr. Facilia's kid (who was voiced by China Anne Mclain), Alice's Daughter (from Alice and wonderland), and Captain hook's daughter Who we didn't meet in the sequal because all we knew at that point that Captian hook had a son (harry) and the fact that Jane should be able to use magic all her life because she's the daughter of Fairy Godmother (a very powerful magic using being) so it would make sense that her daughter would be passed down the ability to use magic like mal because Mal's the daughter of Malificent whose also a Magical Fairy and when Mal came to Aurodon her powers kicked in (magic was restricted on the isle of the lost) so it would make sense how Mal wouldn't have been able to use her abilities until she came to Aurodon and her powers started working... she also must have been a fast learner because her power grew throughout the first movie as we saw she was finally able to stand up to her mother (magical staring contest) and in the second movie we see mal struggling with her powers growing and overwhelming her.... (green eyes flashing and outbursts throughout the movie)

Its not 100% sett in stone when Wicked world takes place but most fans agree its in a difrent timeline since it doesn't fit cleanly into the canon of the movies. I belive its theorized that Wicked world and the bocks share a timeline as they fit beter together. (Im not 100% sure about that last part since its been years since i read the books)
