This is a very underrated series for descendants since people only watch the movies. The music is great. The characters & relationships are great too. It’s a fun series to watch After reading the prequel book of Descendants. I do ship Mal x Evie too because they have way more chemistry than their love interest

This animated series was basically made to continue the story of descendants in case the film did not have the necessary success for a second film or more, it also includes new characters apart from those we already met, Mal, Evie, Carlos, Jay, Ben , Audrey, Jane, Lonnie, the new characters are, Freddie (daughter of Dr. Facillier), Ally (daughter of Alice from Wonderland), Jordan (daughter of the Genie of the Lamp), CG Hook (daughter of Captain Hook ), Zevon (son of Yzma from the Emperor's Follies) but it ended up being canceled for not continuing with the plot that the films had and with that some characters were eliminated and others changed completely for the films, either like Freddie was changed to Celia daughter of Dr. Facillier, CG Grafio changed to Harry Hook, etc.

You're not alone in shipping Mal and Evie. Many fans consider them a better relationship than the people they ended up with and hard headcannon them together. I think even the two actresses themselves ship it, but I might be off on that one.

For some context, Wicked World was made after Descendants 1 but before Descendants 2. (And Descendants two basically retconned the entire series away) 10:00 And people who only know what a spindle is through Sleeping Beauty don't actually know what a spindle is. Fun Fact: With very few exceptions, Spinning Wheels don't have spindles, let alone ones that are sharp enough to break skin.
