The Trolls movies are purely comfort movies for me. They just make me instantly smile and warm my heart. Seeing this video notification pop up got me so excited!!!! I highly recommend watching these movies, mainly for the context of all these scenes lol, but for the warm and fuzzies too. The talent in these is INSANE too! Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake as the leads alone!!!

So my family and I went saw the first movie on a whim, mostly because my little sis and cousins wanted to see it so we were like “sure, what else we got going on.” Me and mom did not expect anything too mind blowing. Lo and behold thought we ended up having a great time and I even cried during the True Colors sequence. I cried. During a Trolls movie. Do you realize how ridiculous that sounds? That moment was just so wholesome bro. I haven’t seen the sequels but I thoroughly enjoyed that first movie. It’s that time again. Watched the first movie of Trolls in theaters with my best friend years ago because we wanted to see a movie and the trailer looked funny. Every movie has been an absolute fever dream ever since and I have loved every second of it somehow. Really recommend watching the movies. It's just a nice, feel-good series (so long as you don't think too hard about the logic of the world and why there are trolls shitting glitter).

1st movie Plot: The trolls were fine until the other race you saw started to _eat_ them. Years later, Pink Troll is the leader of the trolls now and wants to make both trolls and the other race friends :]. It works. 2nd movie plot: So apparently, there's more troll races based on music, and the Rock Trolls are trying to take over _all_ of the other trolls. Pink Troll and her friends plan to stop them. The girls name is Bridgette and she can’t use her real name because she’s the kings maid and she was in love with the king so the trolls helped her “change her identity” temporarily so the king will love her back I don’t really remember the movie much?? But I think they asked for return for her to help them get their friend back. Basically in the first movie it’s the trolls and the Bergens the bergens eat trolls because they’re told eating a troll will make them happy a long time ago they escaped Bergen town and started a secret home for trolls only, then the kings chef found the trolls because of a party and she took poppy’s friends (the pink troll) so her an branch (her other “soon to be” friend I guess you can say😅) went to save her friends. So basically the movie is about saving her friends and while doing so, helping a Bergen find love. You should watch it it’s a good movie and everything you were confused about will be explained

It’s a slow melody, beautiful harmonies, and is soooo soothing to listen to, even though the lyrics and context of the song’s scene makes me teary eyed every time 🥲 The full song isn’t played during the movie, but the parts they do use still pack an emotional punch.

The context for that big group song in the stadium is that each different troll is a different genre. The main troll, Poppy, is a pop troll, the centaurs are country trolls, the ones with long necks are funk trolls, the one who stayed gray for most of it is a rock troll, the little yellow guys are classical, and the blue fish one is a techno troll. The end of the movie comes with everyone embracing their differences and finally allowing the genres to mix again after Pop trolls in the past tried to take over and currently Barb (the rock troll) is trying to do the same with her genre. That's why it's a blend of so many genres and voices. They're all gray at the start because Poppy had just broken a guitar with the 6 magic strings for each genre, which momentarily seemed to erase everyone's music.
