Camilo is also the most popular character among the fans is what I keep seeing too. Ironic considering he was barely in the movie. I do admit he is a great character and didn't get his due like he should have. Disney could have done the movie so much better in my opinion and it's already a great movie. They could have intertwined so many different plots and still come out with what they had but better if that makes sense to you. They could have shown all their rooms like how they showed Isabela, Antonio and Bruno's room. They could have Mirabel really interacting with her cousins as well besides her sisters. They could have shown storylines with each of them getting their gifts. Stuff like that. Hopefully the sequel(I heard they want to make a sequel) will focus on Pepa's side of the family and we get to really see more of Mirabel's cousins. What gets me is that Disney did this movie but didn't even utilize the cousins so much. To me it's like what was the point in having them in the film if they don't get any attention either?!?! They were barely in the film. They could have removed them from the film(they could have just made Antonio her little brother) and STILL would have had the same results as what they came out with. C'mon Disney. Don't make a movie about a family with magical powers and then ignore half of the family. That's just stupid.
@snovaspectre23 жыл бұрын

Would recommend watching Encanto, it’s a great movie! Personally felt a little robbed by the ending but it’s a great movie still. I relate a bit too much to Mirabel(and her sisters) so the intergenerational trauma hit like a train which is arguably a good thing since it’s helped with the discourse about issues in Latin families specially, making it much more easy to talk about and explain to others while helping Latine people who are going/have gone through it. But oof, as a Latina, that ending hurt me. It’s a complicated one for sure.

So, if someone wants to know, all the songs are somewhat inspired by Colombian rhymes and instruments used in the different regional Colombian music (which are very different from one another, we have LOTS of different cultural heritages and backgrounds, thanks to the African-Indigenous-European mixtures): Family Madrigal: Vallenato (from the north - Atlantic coast) Waiting on a Miracle: Joropo (from the east - Llanos Orientales) Surface Pressure: Champeta (it was Dominican and Puertorrican but got popular here around 20 years ago, kind of the antecessor of Reggaeton) We Don't Talk About Bruno: Salsa (it is Latina in general, but most famous here by the music created in the city of Cali, and the actor who does Félix is a recognized salsa Colombian singer) The songs obviously have the "Disney" touch and their own progression, but I imagine Lin Manuel-Miranda seized the chance to add a little bit of Colombianity to each of them as well, trying to show the richness of our cultural diversity (which is also shown by the variety of characters from very different regions living together in the same town)

YES!!! these songs are absolutely wonderful and amazing!! glad you're listening to them! :D

Nice. There's, i think, two more songs in the movie you should listen to. "What else can i do?" which is Isabella's song, and "Dos Oroguitas" which is a flashback song for Abuela.

Seeing the movie is a solid yes. This film represents Disney figuring out how to do CGI movies at the level of music and visual creativity of the 90s Renaissance.

Bruno’s gift is Prophecy. He can predict the future and would tell others what would happen. But, people started blaming him for the futures that came. Blame the prophecy, not the prophet

Hope you enjoy the movie! I loved it. Disney movies never leave an impact on me but this movie surely did. Everything about was so amazing It made me want to watch it again and again

Honestly I think you should react again but with the visuals, ESPECIALLY, “waiting for a miracle” is breathtaking

I’m honestly super glad they don’t have a high note in mirabels song, I’m sick of high notes I can’t reach when I’m singing

Encanto works a million times better in context, purely because of the building of the characters (the beauty and the brawn do no wrong) and then later hearing from that character's perspective, because it's so much more of a slap in the face hearing Luisa freak out about pressure after seeing her as this strong character id love to see your full watch-through :)

A lot of the songs seems so happy from the melody but i end up crying at the end of them because they’re actually very sad in lyrics

As the oldest of three: Luisa’s song always gets me, and I know she’s not the oldest but I feel like a lot of older siblings in general can relate to that feeling Edit: Isabella has one of my favorite parts in WDTAB, everyone else is singing their part and Isabella starts out like that but then the panic starts to set in and she’s just saying “im fine” over and over, I love this movies representation of anxiety and the need to please your family

The entire score is beautifully done. The film will not disappoint. I was engaged throughout.

With Luisa's song "Under the Surface" not only she has to carry the weight of her family figuratively and literally, she also has to carry the town. Luisa is so responsible.

Mate, highly recommend In the heights ‘blackout’ and ‘96000’ cause it has similar layering to Bruno and it’s written by same guy as this film and Hamilton, just saying

You wanna know how the songs of this movie are so fire? Lin-Manuel Miranda poured all his talent into this movie's songs and had none left for Vivo.

Lin Manuel Miranda wrote the music for it. Of course it’s got a hip hop feel to it /lh

Encanto is an amazing movie and I highly recommend watching it. As an older sister I heavily relate to Surface Pressure and What Else Can I Do because Luisa feeling like she needs to be strong all the time and Isabella having to be perfect her whole life to lead by example are things I’ve experienced in my own life, made me sob the first time I watched it

You should watch Encanto! It’s really good! Also it’s a shame that the full music video for ‘We don’t talk about Bruno’ dropped the same day you posted this video, the visuals during that song is one of my favorites of the whole movie

Funfact: in "We don't Talk about Bruno" the style of layering various singing voices at once is called a Madrigal!

I just watched it yesterday, so this is still fresh for me XD Was crying 28 minutes in, could feel the pain That second song is interesting as Lin said it's a three beat song (or something like that) so she's out of sync of her family Also yes please! DO a reaction!!

We don’t talk about Bruno, and the fact that Lin Manuel Miranda worked on some of the music makes it SOOOO much better (btw he plays Hamilton if u don’t recognize the name)

Fun Fact: for many years In latin america Bruce Wayne was known as Bruno Diaz. In the venezuelan dub of the animated movies and shows, he is still named that way

You should listen to "what else can I do" its my favorite out of all of the songs, this is the best Disney movie musical I've probably watched, the last movie that was this good would probably be the first frozen because of the rythem and lovley melodies, I love what Lin- Manual Miranda did with all of the music
