Punk Nitrous Thank you! And of course! For lineart in this one I used the soft brush in SAI (other versions it's called the "Ol Water" brush, but it's essentially just a soft edged brush. size, anywhere from around 5-9px, min size: 57%, density: 100%, Simple circle, no texture, Blending: 0%, Dilution: 0%, Persistence: 13%, keep opacity unchecked. Quality: 3, Edge hardness: 0, Min density: 0, Max dens prs: 100%, HardSoft: 30% Press: Dens: Checked, Size: Checked, Blend: Unchecked. I hooope that isn't too confusing XD But it's all there! If you have any more questions, feel free to ask :)

iSerph Algiht, thank you so much! Do you use a fairly large canvas or a smaller one? I use a 1500x1500 generally but I've heard large canvases make things look neater?

Punk Nitrous I do use a fairly large canvas, it may take a little longer to save due to canvas size, but the quality is certainly better with a larger canvas, lines are extra smooth :) For this piece in particular, I used a 3240 x 4680px canvas, I know that's a huge size, and probably a limit for me, but just fiddle around with different canvas sizes and see what works best for you :)

Hi iSerph. Been watching you for a while (on DA and YT) and I want to ask something that's been ignoring me for a while; I've been looking for ages and I can't figure out how to get the brush tool to taper towards the end of the stroke for that beautiful fur effect you achieve in your linework! How to I get the brush tool to do that?

Thanks for asking and sorry for a late reply, for a tapered effect with the brushes, pick up a tool you want to use for linework, for mine, I use the brush tool in SAI, and on the side where the settings are, you would for starters make sure the pen pressure setting is on: for this, opened the "advanced settings" and check "dens and size" next to press. Secondly, make sure the minimum size is set anywhere below 100%, you can have it at 0 for those really fine, tapered ends, or have it at a higher settings that's comfortable for you. I have mine set around 45%. I hope that helps, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask ^^ I tend to get a bit forgetful with YT comments, so if you want a faster reply, shoot me a PM or a note on DA :)

+iSerph I tried it, it didn't work. But I have a theory why. I use a Wacom Bamboo One, so maybe it's not pressure sensitive like the newer models are?

Spooky-Noodle666 Ah, sucks that didn't work :( Have you tried googling why pen pressure won't work for that particular tablet? Maybe there is a way to get it to work, but I wouldn't know anything about that tablet type in particular, sorry I couldn't help! :(

J0uj0ub et m0ukm0uk MJ I honestly am not sure on that XD I lost my old version of sai, and found a download online for it; my guess is whoever posted it must have made a buttload of custom brushes. They're all pretty much the same as any version of sai, nothing new really :P Just different brush names.
