I looked the case up. I cannot tell exactly what happened but she is out on a low bond and has a court date in August, where she does not have to appear. As far as I can tell, she did show up for court. She is paying for the lawyer. An interesting angle to this case is that Harris county has a special program for 1st time drunk drivers (to avoid a criminal record) but the person needs to be cooperative to get the judge to put them in it. Her failure to appear may DQ her from that program.

When you have a prepaid vacation that conflicts with a court date, that’s when you ask the court for permission to go. Judge Fleisher probably would’ve said that was fine and rescheduled her. You just don’t takeoff.

People are fed up. Eventually the shat is going hit the. Folks are real fed up with what seems unjust discipline, enabling and coddling. The crimes involving DV, children, unliving another, etc. where not all are dealt with fairly and just are good examples where sentences were unjustly handed down in too many instances

She did not get a PR bond - she got a $500 bond which, when she made it, she didn't get released - Madison county is still coming to get her unless they can get her bond paid there. Plus, bond is not supposed to be punishment - it is to make sure somebody is going to show up for court. Note - it does appear she made the bond in Madison county. What gets me is that these characters never seem to have any money for a lawyer but they have money for drugs and the bondsman.

Man, Judge F is the funniest but realist Judge ever. He does everything by the book and will go out of his way to help defendants get right with the law…. Up until the defendant either disrespects him, lies to him, becomes a repeat offender, or disregards his orders. Then the gloves are off. God Bless, Judge F. May he always have sound judgement and Continue to uphold the law

Family vacation, preplanned but under court orders, no respect for anything...send the police to pick her up. She can have a vacation at the jail...😡The lady who has a bad man and several cases in other counties, she needs some counseling for sure.

If judge was low down, he would put out a warrant for her arrest. And she be picked up in Maui and jailed until Monday. Then fly her back to Texas on the plane in handcuffs. And go directly from the plane to his courtroom by Monday afternoon. Then she will learn that when she is supposed to be in court, she is supposed to be in court.

I like your thinking but there is no way Harris County is sending a couple of constables or sheriff deputies to Maui to pick up a 1st time DUI offender. It may please you to know that she is paying that lawyer so she is already out $2,500 - $5,000. When you consider that, why wouldn't you drop a few bucks to fly back early to get to court.

I only discovered this cool judge not 70 mins. ago and so far I have watched four videos involving his court. I just LOVE this guy!! He sure likes using the Tasmanian Devil as an example, doesn't he? Whether he is describing grade school kids or this particular woman being a possible flight risk. I am so glad you cover him, LoneWolf!!!

She did show up for court. Her next court date is in August. I cannot tell what sanctions he may have put on her but she may have come to court with her lawyer and they put on a 1st rate dog and pony show and so maybe the judge just read her the riot act.

Apparently if your rich and can fly away to Hawaii then missing court dates is OK but if your a low end come person with lots of problems who misses court dates you get a arrest warrant
