These tasty morsels are a full protein cracker so it won't carb you. Is great with tuna, avocardo, tomato etc or the pumpkin dip in the other recipe

Came across this today. I love this recipe idea and couldn't find it on the website so wrote it out for myself. Sharing for anyone else. Preheat oven to 400° F (200° C) In a large bowl, combine: 1/2 C Chia Seeds (can sub flaxseed meal or other gluten free flour) 1/2 C water Allow chia seeds to swell. Add: 3 Eggs 1 TBLS vegetable oil (or other oil) 2 C. seseme seeds (250 grams) 1/2 tsp salt 1 TBLS spices of your choice Author's comment: I used a combo of ground cumin seeds, ground coriander seeds, garlic powder, parsley, leaf, coriander leaf, turmeric powder and a little paprika powder but you can use whatever savoury spices you like the taste of. Moroccan mixed spice or curry blend works well too (or 1 TBLS of Tamari or just use salt for a plain cracker) Line a rimmed cookie sheet with parchment paper. Place globs all over sheet. Spread out evenly with back of spoon. Heat for 15 min until golden and slightly crispy. Remove from oven and turn over onto cookie sheet, removing & discarding parchment paper. Cut into pieces of desired size for crackers or bread using a sharp knife. Return to oven for another 10-15 min until nice & crunchy. Enjoy!

I can understand that if you are vegan then you wouldn't want eggs and they certainly can be made without eggs. The eggs here are not so much as the binder but as an extra protein that isn't starchy. Personally I find the straight seed ones a bit heavy on my digestive system as I can't handle starch well but by diluting with egg, it is firm, crisp, less starch and feels better on my digestive system. Some would say that eggs are not good for their system and that's fine, make them without eggs. also any favourite type of oil can be used for those who asked about using a different oil. Go for it. They can be cooked in the oven or dried in a dehydrator instead if not using eggs.

Hi. Thanks for the recipe. Can we add honey to sweeten it?
@TrueVitality13 жыл бұрын
@@Lykaah1 these are normally savoury crackers but I have made sweeter versions too by adding currents. It is my understanding that honey shouldn't be cooked or it can become toxic. You could use maple syrup.

Why the fuck did you put eggs in them if you already have your "glue" Chickens get treated like absolute shit and you continue to contribute to the cruelty.. why?
@Pinksugarelephant8 жыл бұрын
+Jack “Does Stuff” Christopher Oh god relax, like you don't even have a clue where she gets her eggs, or if she has chickens of her own. This is why people hate vegans, they can be so myopic. Ride away on your high horse and get some perspective.
