Set Dual Rate Steering Traxxas 2.4Ghz Radio

Dude! I have been trying to figure out how to get more throw in my steering for a week! People suggest a new servo or suggest a new transmitter and receiver which would have costed me $140 when I didn't need it. This literally is the reason this truck doesn't have as much throw from the manufacturer. Thankyou so much.

Why is there no instruction manual on how to program these damn things? I have had my rustler vxl for 3 weeks now and have been wondering what the hell the menu and set button means and how to use them for programming, but have been scared to mess with it in fear of tweaking something in a bad way. Please let me know where I can find a manual or guide for programming with the TQi 2.4!

What about the sensitivity as soon as I touch the steering wheel it wants to turn I don't want it that touchy

Google up the model of the controller, and click the Traxxas url. Don't be afraid of messing up the settings, there is a reset default on them. Each controller has a different set of tree or level settings.

Hey guys I need help! My traxxas rustler xl won't do anything when I turn it on. The wheels won't turn, it does nothing when I give it throttle. Before you suggest reprogramming the esc, I've tried it, and when I hold the button down till it turns red and then release it so it will blink and I can begin reprogramming it. It just stays red, doesn't blink ever. What does that mean, and what can I do to fix it?

I think the newer 2.4 gig's do. If you go past the maximum distance between the controller and car, the steering centers and the motor goes to zero throttle, called failsafe mode. At least one person has said that they had to rebind them, after this occurred, but I'm not sure. I thought the newer 2.4 gig's automatically sought the receiver when switched on. Sounds like a great forum topic huh.

I'm so glad my remote just has a dual rate knob which i can adjust without entering any pesky menu.

dual means 2. you have 2 different settings. one high and one low. you are talking about setting Expo for end point adj. silly boy.
