set memory cues same as hot cues in Rekordbox automatically

Hi Mis Master! Respect your knowledge and expertise. Had a question about "Rekordbox Cue and Key Tool (ReCK)" I am currently running Rekordbox 6.5.1 and was wondering if ReCK will still work on it. I am currently trying to convert my hot cues to memory cues without deleting my hot cues and also keep the metadata of all the tracks so that they are tagged and put into the original playlist's. Also (if this is relevant) I dont used the "Mixed-In-Key" hot cues and instead add al the hotcues manually within Rekordbox 6. Hey Daniel, yes ReCK works on RB 6.51 and Mixed in key doesn't have to be used for the hot-mem cue merge. Make sure you switch all other options off (such as comment field creation etc). You have to circumvent the Rekordbox XML import bug, but that's about all. Here is more info on that bug kzbin.info/www/bejne/pnfVmGBojL-MrKs Just import the tracks back from the "all tracks segment" under the Rekordbox.XML and ignore importing the playlists because they are already there.

I have a question, after I converted hot cues to memory cues with RECK, its starts RB 5.6 automatically, so I can see memory cues in RB 5.6, but when I open Rb 6, I can only see hot cues, there is no memory cues. Im so sorry, but I can not understand what to do from your tutorial. Can you please help. Thanks!

Hey Alex, the databases for RB 5 and RB6 are 100% separated. Only when you start RB6 for the first time (with no database) it will ask you to convert the RB5 database. You need to import the Rekordbox(ReCK).xml in both RB versions separately. Because RB 5.6.0 is the last version WITHOUT the Rekordbox import bug it is what ReCK automatically starts to avoid confusion. more info on the XML import bug here (it can be avoided but RB 5.6.0 is just quicker and cleaner to import XML data) kzbin.info/www/bejne/pnfVmGBojL-MrKs

at 5:33 we can see the track has some memory cues that do not correlate to hot cues. Is there a way we can generate hot cues from pre-existing memory cues that we have already set? for example, i only set memory cues but now have cdjs which can utilize hot cues. does the merge function clone the memory cues into the hot cue bank too? what if there are several memory cues on a track and 1 or 2 existing hot cues? will it wipe out the memory cues?

ReCK merges the hot & memory cues and loops, sorts them chronologically, filters out the duplicates and set BOTH identical. Max 8 hotbank entries and max 10 membank entries beyond those Max values, entries are lost. optionally you can choose to not change the hotbank entries (=protect them = not merged with memory cues)

Hello everybody helpe please I have an xdj rx2 I would like to know how to do so that when loading a USB key on my xdj rx2 playback starts at the memory / hotcue closest to the beginning of the song.. I have not been able to find the parameters it is very complicated for me considering my age I am 60 years old. many thx

May I suggest another way. Try creating a Mac OS virtual machine using VmWare or VMVirtual Box on your current Windows PC. That way you can run the Cue Key tool then import to your windows box after processing on the Mac Virtual machine. Here's a link to get you started.
