Dr. Duff. I've watched almost every Seth Godin interview since 2014. You could say fan is an understatement. This interview is one of the top ones. Thanks!

This is a fantastic interview. I’ve heard Seth Godin’s name for years but was never compelled to educate myself about his work. I’m stingy with my time and attention; but, it’s obvious I’ve been missing out here. Thank you for sharing this, Dr. Duff. It’s one of those podcasts that I didn’t want to end.

"One day soon the person you are hoping to become is going to meet the person you are." Such a powerful meaning behind this quote. Overall, this was truly a motivating interview and the way Seth delivered his message, he truly seems to be an amazing person who genuinely cares about the work he does. FYI: If you don’t put your O2 mask on first, you soon won’t be coherent enough to help yourself or others (due to hypoxia). The metaphor of aiming for something greater than oneself still holds true (just don’t forget to take care of your own health too).

This is superb, thank you both. I'm only 6 mins in and nailing so many things I've intuited, learned and implemented at 58 - not necessarily the near-death experience, but valuing the death of loved family and friends for the reminder to live, also generosity, thoughts about words and talking and of course Pema Chodron. Much love.😊

My internal tug is who to be generous to. We have 2 children with disabilities and 2 rescue cats. My wife does not work. Resources are slim. I am 100% in service of and provide all my resources to those under my roof. Before I had a family I was able to be generous to people I met in my travels. Things seem to just be so tight with time ... There was a man counting change on a bench the other day and it hurt that I had a fear to help him with Christmas coming up... Just wanted to check in with that struggle.

What 'huge price' have we paid lol? Human life expectancy is now in the 70s, we have air travel to anywhere on earth, we have transport to anywhere in our own country, the human population has increased from 1 to 8 billion in 100 years lol.... These environmental assumptions are idiotic. 1 degrees for a 7 fold increase in population lol.

Social media thrives when people are miserable, lonely and bored. I deleted every social media account I had after the election. I’m suddenly a new person and killing it in all other areas of my life. 90% of people on my social media I realized I’m happy no longer seeing, who cares. I only have KZbin and podcast for education like this video.

rest of the interview was ok, but asking guest to introduce themselves, and ask them to just share their mental life before building any kind of trust, this was an awful start. if you want to be a podcast host, especially with the name "hardcore self help", please study successful podcast hosts and their questions.
