My internal tug is who to be generous to. We have 2 children with disabilities and 2 rescue cats. My wife does not work. Resources are slim. I am 100% in service of and provide all my resources to those under my roof. Before I had a family I was able to be generous to people I met in my travels. Things seem to just be so tight with time ... There was a man counting change on a bench the other day and it hurt that I had a fear to help him with Christmas coming up... Just wanted to check in with that struggle.

Social media thrives when people are miserable, lonely and bored. I deleted every social media account I had after the election. I’m suddenly a new person and killing it in all other areas of my life. 90% of people on my social media I realized I’m happy no longer seeing, who cares. I only have KZbin and podcast for education like this video.
@seamusmcmanus30894 күн бұрын
KZbin is also a form of social media that can play havoc with you mental health too. There’s an algorithm running 24/7 that keeps sending you content along the lines of what you’ve warhead. If you’re a depressed and lonely person, KZbin will feed you more content along that line. You’d literally need to get rid of your smart phone to avoid “social media”… the online world is always social engineering against you.

@freeandhealed11 күн бұрын
@@duffthepsych 😲 you mean it is quite something to say we have some data, so we can extrapolate and say, «milk will kill you if don’t boil it first. » People have been drinking milk, without boiling or pasteurizing it, all over the world, for thousands of years. The issue of boiling etc, only arises when we try to industrialize the distribution. But my point is that if you just write or talk for the sake of expressing yourself you are in danger of careless wording or propagating half truths.
