Good stuff. I have watched a lot of Padres games and David Wells pitched for the Padres for a while. He was very good and sometimes they would want to talk to him after a great pitching outing and he would be drinking beer. He had a helluva curveball.

I cant help but mention the end of that David Wells story. Jimmy has talked about it before, they stay out until 530 AM, Jimmy wakes up and Wells is pitching, he thinks its a replay of an older game and Wells pitched a perfect game. Seth is much better without his audience! I also enjoyed Colbert without his audience and was sad when he got his back, but he really plays off the crowd well, so he deserves it. Not that Seth doesn’t play to a crowd well, I just feel that we wouldn’t get the zanier aspects of the show (the tangents, the callbacks, the inside jokes, Corrections) with an audience present.
