DeMoor Global Running is more than just a running community-it's a group of like-minded people from all over the world, each supporting each other in their fitness journeys. As the new year rolls in, so many of us set big running goals, whether it's hitting a new distance, training for a race, or just staying consistent. But sticking to those goals can be tough when motivation wanes, especially as life gets in the way or progress feels slow. That’s where the magic of DeMoor Global Running really shines. With group challenges, virtual events, and shared experiences, it’s easier to stay on track because you're not doing it alone. The encouragement and support from fellow runners across the globe can make all the difference when you need that extra push.
It’s one thing to set goals, but following through can be a whole different story. Having accountability is huge, and being part of a community like DeMoor Global Running helps keep you on track. Whether it’s through regular check-ins, online meetups, or virtual races, you have a built-in support system that keeps you engaged and motivated. Plus, seeing others work toward their own milestones gives you that extra boost to keep going. Whether you're aiming for a personal best or simply working to stay consistent, being part of this global community makes it easier to not only set goals but actually reach them.

QOD: My January went really well. Ran 136 miles so ahead of schedule for my goal to run 1,500 miles. I got in some great workouts in my training block and that paid off this past weekend in my 10K race on 2/2 in Ohio. I got a new 10K PR in that race of 41:45 in the Takumi Sen 10, which is a 56 second PR from last year’s race. I also finished 6th overall of 190 on the fast flat 1 mile looped course. That new PR crossed off (2) 2025 goals (1. PR in the 10K, 2. Sub 42’ 10K).

There’s good research on the benefits of doing doubles but I find them to be so inconvenient in terms of managing the day. It always feels good to knock out a run of any distance and know that you’re done for the day 😊

The magical words in any training block "Enjoy the Process"! My season doesn't start until March and ends in November. Winter in Wisconsin is unpredictable! Therefore, my base training is the three winter months based on weather!

QD: I had a good January with just over 300 miles. I built my volume a little too fast and developed achilles tendonitis in the last week of the month but after reducing my mileage I was able to avoid a major injury and back to training with my first strong workout after the injury today.

QQD: After a very lengthy hiatus from running I’ve managed to put in 58 miles in January. I’ve signed up to a 7 miler at the end of February (my first ever race) and looking forward to it.

Thanks for sharing your goals, Seth. My running goal for 2025 is to get my 6 star finisher medal at the NYC marathon! I’ve been watching your NY marathon videos for inspiration, I would love to know the name/artist of the song you used in the first 4 minutes of your ‘NY marathon suffering’ video? Thanks, Nathan

My goals for 2025 are simple: bring myself back to about 15 years ago and take out my 21:24 adult, 5K PR! I don't plan on going under 17 minutes at the age of 62 anymore to take out my alltime 5K PR from High School! But, anything can happen!
