Seth, the way you ended this video was so good. Keep it raw, always keep pushing the BOUNDARIES of your craft so that it HAS to be as life is-- unpolished, first-take, the beautiful moments that do not repeat themselves.

@SethJamesDeMoor your best work yet Sir! UTMB needs your footage on their website and channel. You had it all - the big names, 'legible' night coverage, magnificent context shots in town & along Mont Blanc. BUT for me the close up of the Two Runners at night was the pinnacle = hard work and determination, running the UTMB and filming the UTMB. Thank you for taking us there, there is only ONE @SethJamesDeMoor !

This was so fun to watch, thanks for covering it! That woman's smile at 10:00 was incredible given how she was probably feeling! QD: The last time I was way out of my comfort zone was Nov 2020. I ran my first 50k. My longest runs ever prior to that were 2 half marathons a few years before. Due to injuries, I'd only trained to 12 miles prior to race day. I was undertrained, had no friends who'd ever run an ultra, and was counting on hours of KZbin watching during training to get me through. I finished, and now have my third, and by far most difficult, 50k coming up Sept 5. THAT will be my new benchmark for comfort zones!

Found myself a bit out of my comfort zone in an alarming snowstorm (in June 😳) running up Hurricane Pass, training for the Silverton Alpine Marathon. Near 13,000 ft. Can’t call it “unexpected,” because nothing is unexpected in the San Juan Mountains! Just a deposit into the strength/confidence bank account. 😁

QoD: after doing half marathons in training on a weekly basis I recently thought I should try some trail. Pen y fan (Wales, nothing big) 7am, nobody else to be seen, more risk than I wanted to take but pulled it off - just a lot slower than predicted. New found respect for these UT runners.

QOD... UTS100 in Wales. Self navigate 100 miles across the brecon beacons.... got lost everywhere and had the trail rescue car out to put me back on track 4 times. Race briefing took an hour where every runner was given 2 maps to go through and mark certain points to avoid. I left my maps still folded up on the table as I can't read maps. Everyone in the room looked like Bear Gryll's... i know i had no chance of finishing as I could get lost in a padded cell
