Your beginner mountain bike series really helped me to get motivated and go mountain bike for the first time. Me and my dad went out to bike for the first time a few days ago and it is really fun! One thing I did wish I had when I was biking is a pair of gloves. Being a first time rider my thumbs were rubbed raw and started bleeding and made my ride a little uncomfortable. I also fell on a wood bridge that curves and I got like 4 splinters.

Christian Meyer I wouldn’t say “finally” after only a year considering it’s a pro grade tool. I have a snap on inflator that’s similar and it’s nearly 20 yrs old and for a few years I used it commercially. It unfortunately doesn’t work for presta valves though, I could probably change the end on it though

Quality control issues is sadly quite common, I have Poc Resistance Strong gloves, and the stitching was inconsistent, some had great stitching some not, some of them had the same stitching issues,plus glue issues on the straps. palms that wear out fast is also common issue,if they got venting holes they wear out faster. I have not tried any fox gloves yet, because I want protective padding. I you know some one who can new or can do it your self, you can modify(For example putting stronger material at the palms) or repair gloves after they wear and stretch. With my fingers I should not try to sew I think, but my mom fixed my gloves,as I wear them out in few months. Hope our reviews will make a difference.

That Double Bass Jazz music from 1:44/2:34 was on point when you spoke about the Sh*t Kit. I probably replayed that segment of the video around 20 times already, if anyone of you Seth happens to know what it is called I'd be much obliged. You seem to use the best use of contemporary, non-tacky, electronic/trendy music from places like NoCopyrightSounds, however none of that is bad but it is so refreshing to hear such sounds in your videos and to hear Jazz in Mountain Bike videos are amazing! Just shows your creativity!! Also the music you used in your tutorial videos called the sensei music was so ON POINT! If you could leave a link in the description on something like a playlist of the songs used in past, present and maybe future videos would be amazing. To Seth or anyone in the comments that have an opinion on this please read and answer: Alright, so, before I start this I want to say I ride on roads 85% of the time, but I just hate road bikes and alternative road/mountain bikes. I like Mountain Bikes, even on the road. I am a good rider, I do not actually mountain bike. So, here is my question, should I go with the 2017 Rocky Mountain Growler 740, a 27.5+ size tire bike or the 2017 Rocky Mountain Fusion 940, a 29er. I know it all comes back to my own preference but I would like to know what others think too just because this is probably the bike I will be riding for years to come and I want as much opinion as possible.
@SethsBikeHacks7 жыл бұрын
If you're on roads most of the time, go with the 29er
@JrSaiyan17 жыл бұрын
Tangey1 I'm no pro but your choices come down to either a 29er or 27.5. And from personal experience I can throw my 27.5 around a lot better than my 29er. My 29er rolls over a lot and fast with little effort while my 27.5 corners great.
@Tangey17 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your opinion Seth. Also, love the vids, keep it up :) Comparing the Fusion 940, do you think its worth it going up to the Vertex 930 for the price or sticking with the Fusion 940. Its really Deore vs SLX, and what I have found online is that there is not much of a difference but SLX comes out just on top. I don't think its worth the extra $, whats you opinion?
@Tangey17 жыл бұрын
Is your 27.5 a plus bike or just a regular 27.5?
@JrSaiyan17 жыл бұрын
Tangey1 sorry for leaving that out,it's a 27.5 Plus. I also mainly ride trails if your going to be using it on the rode I'd take Seth's suggestion of going with the 29er and maybe getting a low resistance tire. Ever looking into gravel bikes like the cannondale slate?

Hey Seth my name is also Seth, I work for a shop out of Minnesota called Michael's Cycles. As far as knee pads, I picked up a set of Fox Head Enduro knee pads and I don't have any trouble with them, and I really like them. I decided to pick up a pair after riding out in Moab Utah and having to go to the ER after messing up my knee. As for gloves I've had a couple pairs of the low cost Fox Head gloves, and they did split apart at the fingers like you. But this season I'm running a pair of the Fox Head Ranger Gel pads and they seem to be holding up better so far. With your shop inflator we have the same ones at the shops I work at, 2/3 of them seem ok, but after using them for a few yrs the seal between the valve stem and the inflator meet goes bad, and the black button falls off. I also wanted to say I really enjoy your videos, keep them coming, I try to recommend your KZbin channel to my customers and friends!!

Love the log crossing.... and the guts to include your screw-ups on your vids. I definitely got a good laugh out of that, looks like something I would do! 😅

That Park Tools inflator holds up great in a bike shop. We have to rebuild the heads occasionally but for how much use they get the minimal maintenance is totally acceptable.

thank you for the reviews and not overly drawing them out

Just bought the CB f-15 based on your review (and because my other multi-tool decided to go walkabout). The CB Klic looks awesome too, but I think I'll wait until next season to replace my pump - which sucks, but works. Thanks for the gear reviews!

I just found your channel today; saw the BeFree water filter. Normally I run a Camelbak and fill at trailheads. Due to C19, the potable water fill points were disabled, so decided to try a backpacking trick. Install a Sawyer filter inline with my Camelbak. No more water fill point issues, and the filter is good for 10k+ gallons. The multi-tool with magnetic retention looks intriguing; I’ll have to look into that.
