@@gabrielkawa3477 in the mellenium world arc (especially the manga) it's explained that the monsters the prists used and subsequently the monsters from the card game, what gx would call "duel spirits" are a type of being called a "ka". If you have seen the anime series "jojo's bizarre adventure stardust crusaders" (which I think you'll likely did since it's rather popular online) You'd have a basic understanding of how the beings called "stands" work in that show. The kas from yugioh are essentially the same thing as the stands from JoJo, the only difference being how they're birthed. In yugioh a ka is the created from a person's soul when a person strongly desires something. It's commonly assumed by fans that kisara (the girl prince seto ends up with) must be the blue eyes white dragon (bewd for short) itself because her ka was bewd, this assumption come from another character from the mellenium world arc, mahad fusing together with his own ka (ebon illusion magician) to become the dark magician. Fans often assume since mahad became a duel spirit (or ka) then all other characters in the mellenium world arc that are shown with kas must become there own ka, hence why people assume kisara and bewd are the same being when they in fact are not. This also happens with the character "mana" who's ka is the dark magician girl. People often assume mana becomes the dark magician girl when that's not true, dark magician girl is a separate being who was created by mana's soul. The idea is supported in series cannon via the scene where atem walks through the gate to the afterlife you can see mana among the group of people greeting atem despite dark magician girl being in Yugi's deck. Long story short, blue eyes white dragon is not kisara. To further emphasize my point, in cannon atem's ka is kuriboh.

Kaiba is the POG GOAT! He's epic and because of his personality, confidence and perseverance, he's one of my all time favorite characters. Plus his Blue Eyes White Dragons are my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh monsters of all time besides the Dark Magician Girl. Kaiba is smart, intelligent, cunning and just an overall badass. I aspire to be like him someday in terms of his confidence and self esteem...Kaiba is just the OG badass. He's powerful in more ways than one. Plot armor kicked in again to prevent Kaiba from getting total humiliation. Naoh clearly is the better player even ignoring deckmaster effects, they dueled eachother for three episodes, in the first episode Naoh only got down to 3200 LP but Seto (kaiba) was down at 1400 LP he outplayed Kaiba fairly for most of the duel. He did not need Mokuba's help at all, in the third episode of their duel you know what happened? *Naoh used his deck master's effect so he would regain 500 LP for each monster in the card graveyard. This's when Yugi Mutou (the guy who beat atem who also beat kaiba) admitted that Naoh is OP he doesnt need to cheat he just used Mokuba for show.* But bitchass kaiba fans are always out their to cry about everything unfair. So Naoh is much better than Kaiba but im sure now some dumbfucks are gonna say *"filler! FILLER FilleR!"* yet they will ignore how a majority of kaiba's wins are also filler and the fact that virtual world is one of the few filler arcs that can be considered "canon" material due to fitting in the storyline fine and giving us the backstory of beta male champ Seto kaiba. The real winner is Naoh Kaiba not Seto Kaiba, just get over it... if you still consider Seto superior to Naoh then go fuck yourself.

Also I think Kaiba is on par with Atem and not stronger or weaker . That's what makes him the perfect rival , because he can push Atem to the limits and continues to do so . It's also shown that given the right circumstances , either could win a duel and I think that's the point of him being the rival . If Atem didn't respect Kaiba as a rival then him telling him he could beat Slifer wouldn't be as impactful. If his friends were there , they would've been cheering him on the entire time , but to have Kaiba sit there in silence and only now comment saying in a backhanded way "you're better than this." If Kaiba thinks there's a way out , then there must be a way out , and I think that got him into gear .

You should definitely check out Zexal after 5Ds, Yuma, Astral, Nasch and Don Thousand are some of the most broken characters in Yu-Gi-Oh. And Yusei and the top tier 5Ds character scale to Post EoS Judai by the end of their season 1 based on Yusei, Battle City Yugi/Atem, and post EoS Judai all being comparable with Yusei being the new kid in the block and getting insanely stronger later on

Correction on diva still being in the duel in dsod. Kaibas krystal avatar dealt 3500 damage directly when crimson nova trinity attacked putting him at 500 lifepoints. Palladium oracle mahad (the card the pharaoh summoned in dsod) has the effect that let's it be special summoned from the hand and if it battles a dark monster it's attack is doubled during the damage step bringing it to 5000 attack. 5000-4500= 500. That means Atem dealt exactly the damage for game in the duel.

You haven't read the manga yet are using manga images in the thumbnail (I expected a manga discussion) and bringing up The Darkside of Dimensions, a manga canon movie celebrating the 20th anniversary of the manga made by Takahashi (manga creator) and is a sequel to Transcend Game manga prequel. Yami Yugi and Kaiba's 1st Duel had no Exodia. It was in chapter 9-10 when they 1st meet and Kaiba steals Sugoroku's Blue-Eyes then uses it in the Duel against Yami Yugi in a Game of Darkness.

I mean, Seto later on questions if he could even beat all 3 gods at once in the anime. But prior to this in Battle City, Atem admits he was equal to Seto except he used hatred/tried erasing his past. Also in the manga, Yugi vs Atem went different plus Seto isn’t there to watch in the manga, but as for DSOD, Seto used the Millennium Cube to jump to the afterlife, not back in time, plus it makes no sense he’d want to face the Atem who needed to sacrifice himself against Zorc and has no knowledge of the game’s rules. He’s literally being erased as he walks to the throne. But Seto does 100% no cell the dimensionality drop. Seto also called up Obelisk because there were still fragments of Atem leftover, hence why it was said he wouldn’t be able to do it later. And Duel Links (the game) likely akin to the manga uses the consciousness of all people who join it so it’s another one of the ygo series’s perpetual systems.

@@Bleach_Hub I brought up the manga since dsod was primarily made as a continuation of the manga, and the way Yugi takes down Atem in the manga isn’t as impressive as the anime narratively speaking. So I figured bringing it up alongside with his inner thoughts in the anime would clarify while I think dsod Seto could beat a god card beating anime Atem is a different story considering we were obliged in the video to give our thoughts. The sub I watched regarding dsod’s obelisk scene might’ve been different somehow but from what I saw, it’s played up that Atem assisted Seto which coincides with later banter with Aigami. There’s not really a need for a full blown debate though since I’m not trying to debunk much. Just trying to key-in on some plot details.

As a certain man said, this man transcended death and inter-dimensions just for his salty runback. I'd love to say this is canon to the anime and is the reason he still exists in GX, but unfortunately DSOD is the Manga Canon. From here on only the anime is canon. Kaiba's an excellent Rival who started it all, but I'm under the belief future rivals rival him if not surpass him. One such coming out tonight in Duel Links. Speaking of...Paradox has yet to make an appearance in Duel Links, but with everything else I see your point. Duel Links also seems to be a post anime canon so as it continues so might Kaiba's feats? A lot of these are the real people from their series though. In my interpretation of the Power of the Verse your mentioning of the cards being the modern day equivalent of the tablets should actually allow characters throughout the series as well as individual cards (except maybe Vrains) to scale through how good a card is or at least what they achieve in a duel. Perhaps that's highly contestable, it's whatever for me for now. We're nowhere near where certain feats of interest for me might hinge on it. Also. I'm sure a lot might hate me for this. I think you might be losing a lot of people if you're only watching the sub the first time through, as a lot of newcomers to the channel might have normie taste. (like me!) I completely understand since it would take way too much time to watch a series in both languages assuming you even want to as well as not wanting to miss anything like for GX or for 5Ds. Although I'd say you could just pick up at a certain point in the Sub from there and get to experience both somewhat. From Zexal though each series is completed, but for Arc-V you should kill 2 Birds watching the dub as past characters show up. I will recommend this more as time progresses, but you do you. 1) Characters after Duel Monsters definitely surpass them but you'll have to wait for the Jaden video for that. 2) I'm not putting up with the dub for most of these characters lmao. Plus the dub mischaracterizes so many of the characters that I can't be asked to watch it lol
