I think of Phabeni on a regular basis, and still can’t watch past videos with him. I still get to emotional. The amazing bond Khanyisa, Timisa and Kumbura have is beautiful to watch. So much love amongst the herd. And in equal measure for the carers. Their dedication and compassion warms my heart. The world could take a page out of the Elephants journal at HERD. They show the meaning of respect and love. Much love and hugs to you all. Have an amazing day. ❤️❤️🐘❤️❤️

There's a definite lazy feel to the day, even with the slow-motion sparring between Mambo and Limpopo. That was cute, the way he went down on his knees to be more at her eye-level. And there goes Miss Independent, off to do her own thing, but never alone. I love the way the older ones, even Timisa (who's not that old) follow her to make sure she's safe ❤🐘❤

It is great to see Setombe being surrounded and wanting to be in the company of the other ellies, especially the youngsters. It seems she still misses her baby bull, Phabeni. She is still streaming heavily from her temples. Maybe looking at the activity and energy of Mambo and Limpopo, makes her think of the feisty behavior of her baby. It's still painful to think about Phabeni not being with the herd when they are out. One could only imagine him rolling around in the mud. He would definitely give Pisa a run for her money when it comes to lying on the ground. It is always so amazing to see how the youngest is never left alone for very long by the elders. Timisa really proves to be a future attentive and protective allomother. Despite being a very young ellie herself, she has already learned to stick close to Khanyisa and Phabeni, when he was with the herd, to provide assurance and protection. Thank you once again for sharing your peaceful and beautiful life with us through your videos. God Bless Your Every Work And Everyone At HERD Forever.🙏🐘❤

Gotta love the way Mambo rested his trunk on Limpopo and stepped on the sand mud, like towering over her in a true "veni, vidi, vinci" King of the Bush way. I don't know how Pisa can lay down so close to their feet! Was it Zindoga by her, behind Setombe? Maybe that's why, cause she had her personal bodyguard by her side? We all grieve differently...for some the path is long..others can relatively put things in perspective quicker...but certainly losing a child is the most difficult. Having lost a child myself...I relate to Setombe in her time of great darkness. She perhaps sees the kids playing and thinks of her little bull. She is trying so hard...and I can see the support from Tokwe and Klasserie and Lundi here. One thing is certain...she loved baby Phabeni deeply! The other cows know the depth of her love and will support her with all their might! Love will pull her through...sad to see her sunken eyes and streaming! May God continue to hold her tightly in his loving healing GRIP! You are soooo loved beautiful girl! ♥♥♥♥

I can feel how Khanyisa's remarkable journey is very healing and supporting for Adine and the carers right now. After what happened to baby P, the fact that Khanyisa is thriving and growing up with such grace and love showing through, I feel that it acts as a very stabilising support for Adine and the carers. I always remember her opening the gate from the Orphanage and here she is having never forgotten that great little trick that she learned not so long ago. She has come such a long way and Adine and the carers should be so proud of their achievements, as we have witnessed this is no mean feat to bring an injured orphaned baby Ellie back into health and stability. The herd is amazing and they know that they are loved, that much is patently clear! Sending my love and gratitude to all at HERD, they are literally Godsends for these beautiful Ellies!
