Hi Terry. I am elderly just like "chess fella" below, and I spent MANY hours trying to "intuit"connecting my external antenna to my Samsung, all to no avail until I found your site. All the things you said seemed at first to make no sense at all. Then I was able to follow you slowly through the convoluted "Samsung TV" processes and, suddenly, BINGO! The fact that my tuner found more than 400 (!) channels was stunning, but more importantly, it found the ONE I was looking for, so now I can watch all the games of my favorite NBA team, all thanks to you. I'm so glad it worked out for you. It can be a long process but once the TV is programmed it should have the channels programmed permanently.

Thanks man, just upgraded to a Q70 and it only has HDMI and coax, couldn't even use my RCA cables, luckily I found my SNES coax patch cable and it still works. After about a half hour of watching other videos and trying to find an instruction manual online in less than 5 minutes you solved my issues! Just a tip for others hooking up game consoles it has to be turned on and sending a signal for the TV to pick it up and assign it a channel. So weird "tuning into" channel 3 to play games again after all these decades!

Thanks for this video! I pulled out an old Nintendo game system from the closet and wanted to see if it still worked nearly 40 years from new and I couldn't figure out how to access the coaxial input on my 65" LCD TV. Followed your instructions for AIR Channels here and Voila! On the list of channels, channel 3 became available and my Nintendo from 1986 is playing on my Samsung LCD! 👍 Thanks again!

Thank you soooooo much for this video. Samsung's explanation in the e-manual to turn on the antenna says " if you have cable you don't need to use an antenna" DA ! REALLY! I called Samsung and they quoted this information from my e-manual. I don't know how you figured it out....... Now.... just playing with this info it seems there is a way to RECORD from an antenna too. I could be wrong but still testing things out. I have DISH and need to move my tv to another wall so deciding where to go after I drop DISH. THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH AGAIN!

Nice! My older UN50MU6300 didn't give me the Live TV Air App, but it looks like my Over the air HD channels are mixed in with the Samsung TV Plus channels. Only issue I see is that I can't see a way to change the time. It shows Jeopardy! coming on at 10pm. It should come on at 7pm. Any ideas?

Sorry i have no idea what a coax connector is. Ive search some on amazon & a load of wires have appeared. Do i just need the coax connector and thats it? Or do i need a coax wire to connect to the tv? And if so where do i connect the other end of the coax wire to? Thank you!

You can ask someone in a TV store like Best Buy or whatever is in your area. They will tell you what a coax connector wire is and how to connect it to the antenna at one end and the TV at the other. My video shows the coax wire.
