Yo my boy is that vise you used animated? I try doing this with a kurt model i downloaded but there was no controllers to move the rear jack.

It's not animated. It's just has joint that I can move to fit parts of different sizes.

If 3.25in x 3.25in is the stock size, then the 1.35in is the sawn length, not another stock size… unless mills are producing cuboids as a stock product now

We don't actually saw our material in house. However, if we were to saw it in house we would have ordered 1.25in X 3.25in Flat bar and saw to length 3.25in. That way we would not be depending on the saw cut for flatness when we load it in the vise. But our local supplier actually mill sizes our material for our 5 axis jobs. Even thou that would clearly not be needed for this simple part like this.
