I do it to make sure my fluffy girl won't exhaust herself laying too much eggs - she's very ambitious about becoming a mom. I had to take real eggs away too - she was trying to hatch them on her own and was sitting way too much... And it was about week too long waiting. Now she share her duties with partner and they trying to hatch eggs together. Also I finally bought cuttlefish bone for her and now she layed 5 pretty eggs without any signs of struggle... Earlier she fell ill after every single one and even was laying some eggs without a shell
